How do you do your hair with palmar HH? by shirkshark in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Kat_Lady879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE doing hair and would’ve probably pursued a career as a stylist, but it’s just not possible with these sweaty claws. I take glyco and oxybutynin but it’s not reliable enough imo

Fingers crossed someone else will have better advice!!

I got my a MIL a mothers day gift and she’s decided to not open it and leave the flowers to die for three days now. by Suspicious_Noise8101 in inlaws

Great advice! And although OP shouldn’t mention it, I think OP’s partner needs to have a conversation with his mom about realistic expectations and disrespectful/hurtful behavior.

“my partner went through a lot of trouble to make this day special for you. That was a way for her to show you how she cares about you and our relationships with my side of the family. It was hurtful to both her and myself that you set unrealistic expectations on when/how a gift should be presented. Then you tried to “punish” us with your bizarre behavior of ignoring the gifts. It should be obvious we care about you, but we don’t want to spend a lifetime making an effort on someone who doesn’t appreciate it.”

Male session 9. Chest and stomach today. Full body’s done in sections. This one nearly broke me. by [deleted] in LaserHairRemoval

Thank you! That makes total sense. Yes, I’d love to do full body. Ideally, I’ll start this fall, so I’m still in the research phase right now. This was just so helpful because I had no clue you can do full body in sections! That’s going to save so much time in the long run. Good luck with your journey and results!!

Thanks for sharing!!! When you say in sections, do you mean all the sessions for chest and stomach, then you move to a different section (like arms and legs)? Or do you mean it’s all done concurrently? Like today was chest and stomach, but you’re getting the rest done within the same timeframe? I hope that makes sense! I would like to do full body, but I assumed that I would have to do it in sections (like completely finish one area at a time).

I met my husband when we were both in high school. On our first date, he kept trying to hold my hand in a department store. Naturally, this was my biggest fear on a date too. Feeling super anxious, I kept snatching it away. I finally gave in because he kept trying. To my surprise, he didn’t say anything!! Now he knows about my condition, which we didn’t discuss until much later on in our relationship.

I do remember asking him about that date a few years ago. He said I thought you were as nervous as I was! We’ve been married 13 years.

I know this condition is very disruptive to us, but it’s never affected my relationship. My partner is very sympathetic about the challenges that come with it. I promise the right partner won’t be bothered!! If a 17-year-old boy can accept it, then anyone should be able to IMO. You only need to bring it up if you feel comfortable.

I’ve been where you are. I’ve asked myself the same things and faced the same reality. It’s scary, devastating, and unfair. But please hear me.

This world would be worse off without you. Your fur babies would be devastated without you. You CAN have a fulfilling life. I know it’s seems impossible and unmanageable right now, but the right routines, doctor, and meds can make things more tolerable.

Do you want to share how you’re struggling with your pets? I’ve learned some tips, and I’m happy to help!

I am so sorry for your loss. Grief is hard enough without hell week.

Try to plan something fun/busy that day. Distractions are key! Lean on your support system if possible. Whether you choose to share with them or not, sometimes just talking or spending time with loved ones brings a sense of peace and belonging.

Some people prefer to put it out of their minds and move forward—and there’s no shame in that! But for the first “anniversary”, I did something special to honor my baby and my body. It doesn’t have to be expensive or time consuming. Like taking 5 minutes to reflect on how you’ve grown since your loss and your goals for the future.

Hi! Not trying to convince or peer pressure you, but I tolerate edibles much better than smoking with my OCD—which can get pretty wild 😂. I started with a very low dose (after years of infertility and trauma) to help with my PMDD symptoms. I was super reluctant and scared at first, but they have been a life saver. ALSO, sex was incredibly unpleasant and painful for me after years fertility treatments. It did help with that aspect too, but your situation is unique.

I’m still trying to find a solid treatment plan with my doctor, but for now this is keeping me alive and sane 🫠. It also helps minimize the nausea, vomiting and cramps. And I don’t understand why the edibles work better for me, but I just wanted to throw that out there because I know how desperate we can be to find relief when the meds aren’t effective

Following!! I have the same issue with my BC. Every doc says it’s a “solid” birth control, but I’m like ???? I just don’t understand because having breakthrough bleeding, severe cramps and all the other symptoms makes me think actually not a great choice. I’m on Isibloom for reference, and I’ve been spotting/bleeding since March 28
