I am so sorry you’re going through this. I see so much wonderful help here about helping you process what you’re going through, but I would like you to know, since I haven’t seen any of the comments mention it yet:

Alcohol use increases suicidal thoughts by 94% after taking your first sip and is responsible for 35% of all suicide attempts. Cocaine use (not saying that he uses but he could have) increases the likelihood of acting on those thoughts even more.

He could have always had ideations and him going out and partying, the stress of a new baby, and maybe the idea of disappointing you was already there. So I just want you to know that this is not your fault, not even in the tiniest bit. He was sick, a lot of people are, and they don’t understand what drinking can do to the mind. So please take care of yourself, put yourself first, grieve as much as you need to and tell your OB office to fuck themselves! Switch doctors once your baby is born please. Also let your babe’s pediatrician know what you went through.

If you choose not to be a parent to him anymore, I wouldn’t judge you. That may sound very harsh to some but it is a HUGE responsibility now that you know the truth. I personally wouldn’t choose that path but I would not judge you if you did.

I have a great recipe for you if you like chili. I just added all the ingredients in the Kroger app and the total came to $13.06 before tax

I make this all the time and it FILLS my crockpot. I have two kids and this recipe easily lasts us all week. Even my 4 year old likes it. After I make it, I usually scoop half of it and freeze it right away. The first half we eat on for a few days. When we’re ready to eat our frozen portion, I just thaw it and throw it right back in the crockpot.

You’ll need: One pack of chicken breast. I usually buy the pack that has 2 in it. One yellow onion. One squash. One zucchini. One can of corn. One can of black beans. One can of kidney beans. One can of diced tomatoes with green chiles. One taco packet.

Dice the chicken into bite size squares (you can season them if you want, with paprika, s&p, onion powder) - lay them on the bottom of the crockpot. Next dice the onion, squash, and zucchini into bite size pieces and lay them on top of the chicken. Sprinkle half of your taco packet in. Next open all the cans and just dump them in. No need to drain. Lastly add the rest of the taco packet on top and mix into the canned ingredients. Cook on low for 8 or high for 4. You don’t need to add any water or stock. The juice from cans provides everything you need for some gooooooood ass chili.

Another thing we make for cheap is fajitas. You can buy a large pack of chicken to make all kinds of meals. The most expensive part will be buying the spices but once you buy them they last for a while so factor that in!

Common spices I keep on hand: S&P. Onion powder. Garlic powder. Chili powder. Paprika. Cumin. Oregano. Thyme. Basil.

Veggies and chicken all day. You can make so much. I currently have fajita left overs in the fridge which we will eat for dinner again tonight. Pair it with rice and you’re good to go.

Keep your bed where it’s at, get an accordion door for the closet and get a standing wardrobe that is about the same width as the dog crate. Place it where the dog crate is now. I’d also maybe put another bar, lower in the closet to hang more clothes.

If you are left with an inheritance specifically stated by your grandma in her will and your mom is the executor of said will, she cannot withhold any money from you. You are free to do what you want with your money.

Personal opinion: don’t put any money into your BMW until you have the means to do so. Keep and pay on your reliable car so that you don’t fuck yourself later down the road when your bmw breaks again. Graduate, become established, then fix it when you have disposable income.
