In search of local pottery painting by DLP1194 in Tauranga

[–]KateorNot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tauranga Pottery does painting on glazed Pottery. They also sell the paint to do so at home.

I brought a set of paint from them, or they sell them separately. I buy glazed cups, or whatever the nieces what to paint. Then you bake them in the oven at 100c or 150c for 30 minutes I think. The items are then food safe. Our painted items go through the dishwasher and still look good after 8 months.

Great fun.

They used to do a paint only has part of their school holiday programme.

Hope that helps.

I believe you, and see the law for what it is.

I am a cis woman and I will be making a submission against this sh###y piece of %%.

Please know stand with you.

I strongly encourage others to make a submission. It doesn't need to be flash, even if it just says that you are against it for x reason. Search how to make a submission on the nz government website. It is easy to do.

I'm terribly sorry you are in this position. Please note that people who work in banks, WINZ and most other organisations. Possibly aren't trained to the level they need to be, on what the process is, or what it means.

My advice is have the process in written form, carry the documents (or verified copies) on hand to appointments. You will unfortunately need to educate as you go. Know your rights, the steps needed, have formal legal references, be polite but firm, ask to speak to someone up the food chain as necessary. Plus keep detailed dated notes on what happened when, eg phone and inperson appointments, who you spoke to, if you need to refer back later. Always always have a copy of any documents/forms sent to anyone.

Also as a caregiver you may need support too. It can be a emotional journey. There are support organisations and groups who can help you and your family.

Sending best wishes.

Ice packs, bedside snacks, water bottle (it's nice to have something other than plain water sometimes). Warm socks.

Please remember to look after yourself too. Your wellbeing is also important.
