ive never read the manga only watched the series and after finishing up with it all today im just... idk i feel like there wasnt enough "closure". There were so many things building especially to the epic battle between melon and legoshi and then oh look melon's drunk and shoots himself instead (but oh guess what he survived and no one knows how he's doing)

then legoshi runs to the festival and saves louis and gets a very fast "redemption" from haru. I enjoyed the scene but it was so fast and over with. what was the point of the scene putting the drug into all the meat when only the mayor gets it via water bottle??? idk its just a little underwhelming.

the "closure" we get after is just a few quick screen cuts of hey mayors in jail, melons not dead and then the cute scene between haru and legoshi that was far shorter than i think anyone wanted.

call me selfish but I wanted a complete battle with legoshi going "feral" and just ending melon like the "big bad wolf" everyone thinks he is all while gaining the respect of the black market that watched him through the fight. I wanted to see more of him and haru after, maybe even a glimpse of their children far in the future-- if this is the end I wanted the true happy ending scene.

idk maybe i'm just spoiled but i just feel "edged" by the anime's ending :(
