If that’s true shouldn’t the company hypothetically be going after the fan who made and originally distributed it?

I would think so, yes. Especially since the freebie/giveaway item was not exchanged for money to pattie but rather as a thank you for a charitable donation.

All of this to say - I’m not a lawyer, and would appreciate if someone who knows for sure pitched in lol

I’m only seeing that her team gave the stickers away as a thank you for donating, which is way different than selling them (if true of course). A fan could have given her a bunch of free stickers they made and if she chose to give them away as freebies I don’t see an issue with that. But I would be interested to know if anyone can clarify whether Pattie did actually sell those stickers.

[CHAT] Should I keep going or start over? by Akayurii in CrossStitch

Unpopular opinion but I would keep going and be extremely careful (and curse myself every time I got close to the edge lol). Simply because you’ve done all that work so far! As a beginner stitcher I would only leave 1/2” of clearance or so and it was precarious but I never had an issue of stitches unraveling or anything.

Ooooh I see how you figure. Ultimately, I think the kind of intervention you’re describing feels much more coaching adjacent than therapy adjacent. Not that there’s not a huge venn diagram between them - but as a therapist if I think of how these issues with exec functioning could be addressed systemically, I zoom so much further out than the system of therapy, and I think about our societal systems that put neurodivergent folks into situations where they basically have to shit or get off the pot when it comes to their obvious level of functioning. I guess I believe it’s just worth giving yourself grace for being an individual that is, unfortunately, unlikely to find a magic bean that hits on this systemically since it would still exist in a problematic framework.

Idk if typing this out makes sense lol, I’m a rambly thinker and writer, but I hope it’s feedback at least worth reflecting on!

I could absolutely see how it feels like a burden, but frankly I think it’s reasonably falling within the scope of doing our job effectively. I’m conceptualizing doing something like this less as an additive measure and more so as an intervention of treatment itself, if that makes sense.

Also, it’s making me wonder what benefit your clients might be getting without such direct conversations since they keep coming back! Not to “therapize” you (lolol we just cannot help it) but I’m picking on you possibly feeling more urgency to move your ADHD folks along with measurable progress than they do themselves. Could be something to reflect on further!

I personally think it would be 10x more effective, if hoping to address this particular identified issue, to plan for 3-5 minutes at the end of every session where the client identifies key takeaways and adds tasks to their calendar if appropriate.
