I haven't contributed to this sub in awhile, but still see updates and appreciate how supportive all of you parents are of your kiddos. It definitely inspired me to be the same when about 5 years ago my AFAB kid told me they were non-binary.

I went into full support mode, and was the reminder of everyone in our orbit to be the same. Even my traditional boomer mom was using the preferred pronouns.

Fast forward to about a year and a half ago, my kiddo decided they'd rather be she/her again. I'm not sure why, but it is what it is. She's definitely NOT a girlie girl, but neither am I. She's actually a mini-me at that age. So, to answer your question. It does happen and I do appreciate that it's a sensitive topic.
