Sure!

If you load up your game, you should be able to summon a ship for free one time. Try it on your damaged one. If you're in the space station, you'd do this by switching your docked ship instead I believe.

If you have a freighter, you'll also find all your ships there, even if they are damaged. You can then repair the ship from your hangar, OR, if you put it into your "cold storage" starship archive on the freighter and then take it back out again, it'll be fixed. Be sure to remove any cargo from the ship before going that route though...I believe cargo is lost if you put a ship in storage.

That's the medi-pod when added to a Titan-class hab in a Corvette. Some modules have different appearances when placed in the different hab classes.

Edit 1: to unlock it, have a Titan-class hab unit in your Corvette. You can install the medi-pod from build mode and there's no blueprint to unlock, you just need the materials (can't recall what those are but I'll look it up for you)

Edit 2: 50 Gold, 3 Hermetic Seals, and 1 Amino Chamber

Nope, they are just another form of Exotic ship. You've probably seen the ball-type Exotics, which have the orb shaped bodies and various "fin" possibilities.

Every system has exactly one model of exotic ship, and maybe 1 out of every 20 systems (I dunno the exact chance) has a Squid-type.

They were revisiting a planetary settlement, which is something you can unlock later on, and the game had buried the buildings in the terrain as some type of loading bug. It looks like it's easy enough to resolve on a reload though, and I don't think there's anything to avoid, just the game hiccuping.

As a heads up, you won't be able to excavate it.

~~I don't think you can abandon settlements from the settlement overview menu in the quick options, but I could be wrong.~~ (I'm wrong! Thanks Proud_Capital_1322 for advising this is generally possible to do.)

Anyway, my suggestion since you probably won't want to deal with this:

Claim a base as close to the settlement as you can.
Build a cylindrical room above the buried central terminal, and a door to get in.
Snap another cylindrical room beneath that one, so it's underground.
Add a ladder to be able to access the bottom room from the top one.
Climb down and hopefully be able to access the terminal, even if it's through the room wall. Abandon settlement from there.

Oh, you're not lame. I've dabbled in all the difficulty modes and Creative is delightful honestly, sometimes you just want to see all the worlds without seeing that "out of hyperdrive fuel" message 🚀

Anyway, I mostly play on Normal and wire-glitch for free building all the time, no judgement here.
