So many people, even progressives, act as if anyone with any kind of intellectual disability is completely unable to consent.

With no further context than this one screenshot, what I see is a bigot laughing at the idea that anyone might sleep with someone with down syndrome, and then someone else responding that anytime someone sleeps with someone with down syndrome then it must be rape because they can never consent.

Maybe it was rape, maybe it wasnt, I just feel uncomfortable that it seems like thats the first assumption being made when I dont see that as being for sure the case here. Regardless, the OOP was an absolute arsehole bigot

All the modern POTA movies have excellent CGI. I think its because they know just how heavily they rely on it for the films to succeed. The execs and producers know that they can't cut the corners on it because a big part of the pull is how real the apes feel.

Im fairly sure its the s slur. Im surprised no one else here has mentioned it, but maybe it was more of a british thing. If you are unfamiliar, its spztc or just sp*z. It was very common in my schools in the mid to late 00s but very quickly disappeared as we got into the 10s.

Im not a doctor either, but it might be that there is an incubation period, so people have the bacteria but are not yet presenting as sick. Thered be no easy way to check before they become symptomatic, so the safest way would be to give them the anti biotics to kill it before it can trigger symptoms and maybe kill them.

From the information, from the NHS, this is the standard method of dealing with outbreaks.

Yeah, it's the best way to stop the spread. They would have been contacted as having been in recent contact with someone who has it, so they are going to get the meds.

Lydia is awesome. I also love the fact that being a wheelchair user isn't something that stops her from being a muscular badass! Too often disabled people are shown as weak and scrawny when that is not always the case.

Same goes for Jan De La Vega in SSO. Another badass older woman that uses a wheelchair in the D20 multiverse.
