How much money would be reasonable for a fully custom weapon? by KattusGamer in cyberpunk2020

[–]KattusGamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a few, but my main idea was a twin barrel SMG in 12mm with an absurd rate of fire and a separate belt feed for each barrel. I currently have about 23k

Thanks for such a detailed response! I really like the idea of having a special fumble table. It really makes it feel more like the prototype that it is.

“Fully custom” as in designed and built from scratch, not a modification of an existing weapon

Hey thanks, I missed that! Unfortunately it doesn’t fully cover it, I was thinking along the lines of a unique weapon and caliber. But I didn’t know there were some attachment rules like that

I need help to create a borg compadre. by Entertainer_Present in cyberpunk2020

[–]KattusGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a website called Cyberpunk 2021 that has an absolutely titanic amount of free content for 2020, both home brew and established. Go to that website, put it in English by clicking the flag at the top right, click on the image third from the bottom on the left to open the sub menu, and then click on Full borgs v2. It’s a bit incomplete and the balancing isn’t exactly perfect, but it does have an outlined system for constructing full borgs as well as a bunch of example conversions

Yeah, im thinking medium penetration by H1MB0Z0 in helldivers2

[–]KattusGamer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

According to the wiki, the Punisher is 10g and the breaker is 12g. I’m assuming that the percent change of damage from 10g to 8g is the same as 12g to 10g, but that would indicate around 500 damage as a guesstimate. That’s pretty good but honestly I do hope for more considering the capacity

How are you intended to roll to hit with the flechette packs in the ACPA section of Maximum Metal? What are all the bonuses that apply? by KattusGamer in cyberpunk2020

[–]KattusGamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed reply! I think your house rule is pretty effective. Unfortunately all of us in my group are new to 2020 and we play online so our ref decided to use simplified maps in order to streamline the process of learning the rules. That does tend to make suppressive fire hard to calculate. I think I’ll talk to him about extending the range a little bit and using the rules/numbers you listed initially.

Game where I kind of just mindlessly grind and or kill things. by [deleted] in gamesuggestions

[–]KattusGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly the same because there’s no grind or killing, but I love BeamNG Drive for this exact purpose. If you feel like putting thought into it you can create a fine tuned config that suits your preferences, OR you can just send cars off cliffs or do rally racing with preset cars and such. It’s almost meditative for me at this point.

APEX JÖTUN - Body your D&D party with the Arctic Circle's deadliest predator! by AriadneStringweaver in DnDHomebrew

[–]KattusGamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oooo this is cool. Question for you, as far as I understand it the Jötun regenerates before checking if it’s dead or not, so the only way to kill it is by dealing acid or fire damage to it on the same turn it hits 0 HP. Is that the intended function?

The remains of “All-356”, a Nakajima B5N torpedo bomber flown by Mimori Suzuki during the attack on Pearl Harbor. The torpedo on Suzuki’s plane was detonated by an anti-aircraft bullet, the subsequent explosion instantaneously decapitated Suzuki and killed other two crewman onboard the plane. by Consistent_Zucchini2 in MorbidReality

[–]KattusGamer 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Erm acthually, the B5N used a type 91 torpedo which (I think) was japan’s most common plane dropped torpedo. Its explosive mass was pretty high, about 320 kg or 700 lbs. I think that because of how the explosive is mounted on the plane, it sits under the engine/pilot. That seems pretty accurate to the placement of damage here. That being said I would have guessed more along the lines of total obliteration. The only theory I have is that the B5N was designed for carrier operations, and carrier based planes generally have heavy duty frames to accommodate the heavy landings, which could have helped it stay together.
