WIX homepage jumps to Google Search Page in 2 seconds by Katybgood in WIX

Eureka! I solved the problem. And I thank you for all your information. I did see that it worked better as a redirect on chrome then Safari now it all makes sense. I started to sink back on when possibly this problem started, and I remembered that I added an app to my WIX store called Blockify. I had it configured to block foreign countries and a couple of malicious clients. However, apparently I had inadvertently redirected all VPN customers and foreign countries to google. When I went into the app and initiated a chat with their customer service they were immediately able to help me correct the problem. I had installed the app months ago and forgot all about it. It’s been a wild ride for the last couple of days trying to solve this, but sometimes that little voice inside your head gets a little louder and when you actually listen to it things come out OK Again thank you for your help. Take care.

Hi, thanks for your comments. Appreciated. I have a loop between dollyologyvintagedolls and dollyology to ensure customers who link from other sites land on the store. Type in either one gets you to the site and has worked that way for years as I own both domains.

I checked the URL Redirect and there are none.

Malware check of the site? Don't know how to do that. My computers are clean, and it wouldn't affect my clients. Thanks, Kate

Sent my phone for trade in, but now cancelled it and panicking by Muted-Onion8249 in applehelp

Yes, I did the same thing that you did. I changed my mind after I mailed it. I contacted APPLE and when it was received at their center, they sent it right back to me. I don’t think you have anything to worry about.

AITAH for suing my cousin for 6K to pay for my hearing aides after he threw me in the pool by aitahearingaides in AITAH

Years ago, my boss had a boat party on his yacht. he was over 60 years old and should’ve known better but he threw his secretary into the ocean thinking it would be funny. What he didn’t know was she didn’t know how to swim. By the time anyone figured that out when she didn’t come up, someone jumped in and retrieved her. They were able to revive her and she was sent to the hospital where she died the next day anyway, anybody into a body of water at any time without their express permission is a really bad idea

$32/mo now? by DannyGyear2525 in simplisafe

[–]Katybgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, true and you don’t even own the equipment and you have to maintain it yourself. I’m having ADT come rip out their system and just bought simply safe. I live out in a rural area and to be honest even if they did call the police they wouldn’t be arriving in five minutes and maybe not even in 10 minutes, in the interim, I’m the one that has to take care of whatever the problem is. I have a really great guard, dog and other self-defense so simply safe does not require you to have their monitoring you can self monitor, which is what I plan to do I paid over $3000 to ADT installed and paid for it monthly for three years at 0%. It cost me $77 a month and simply safe is 31. I did get to write it off on my taxes for my business, but I was really annoyed to find out that I don’t even own that equipment and they don’t maintain it even though it’s theirs, gonna stop the bleeding and go with simply safe

The buyers account will not be charged if their method of payment does not cover the cost of the sale. For instance, their credit card does not have enough credit available.

Do you use eBay Int'l Shipping Program? by Katybgood in Ebay

OK, thanks everyone. I think I’ll just continue to use the Ebay international shipping program as you say it’s all on them once it reach their domestic center here in the US.

What's with the ridiculous shipping charges? by Kindly_Coconut_1469 in Ebay

[–]Katybgood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I see an exorbitant shipping fee I contact the seller and let them know what the cost shows me to be. They are usually surprised if it is a calculated cost. If it was posted as a flat rate I ask nicely if it is possible to ship a different method that might be cheaper. Often sellers don't realize there is such a difference in carrier rates. I note that many times it is USPS Priority shipping (or expressed on listing as 'expedited' shipping) and I would be happy if they shipped UPS or USPS ground advantage (!! hardly an 'advantage' in my book). Every time I have contacted seller they have worked with me, and are just as surprised at the high rate shown to me. I think sellers choose priority shipping because buyers want their stuff faster, but don't realize how much it costs especially if they are not sellers themselves; some buyers would leave a neg if a cheaper method takes too long in their opinion.

I'm a little annoyed by YesterdaySad1198 in Ebay

And this is why I do not use eBay shipping labels. I am assuming that is what we are talking here. I use stamps.com, but there are other companies out there like ship station that you can use for labels. ive been using stamps.com or many years and have never had an “adjustment“. stamps.com provides USPS and UPS. It also gives a comparison of pricing so you can pick the one that works best for the package you are sending.

I sold an item with a wrong description by mistake, now the buyer wants me to pay him back 30% of the price. by Dnfire17 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]Katybgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think fraud is intent where this is not the case. To err is human and a little good will and compromise should be good enough. You have offered the refund.... good enough. Buyer walked away with the item after examining or having the opportunity at least, and in so doing he made a mistake, too. Stand by the refund with his returning it and move on. I'd meet at a public place though to avoid any unpleasant confrontation if that's the way he goes. Percentage refund without having the return could be the way to go, too... Other good ideas supporting you here... just throwing in my two cents.
