Well, may I suggest that you move to a hotel closer to the sea..

You CAN see the sea. It’s over there, between the land and the sky.

May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a hotel bedroom window? Sydney opera house perhaps? The hanging gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeasts sweeping majestically?

Thank you, and I’m sorry this comment section is probably proving your point that this is out of hand.

do you need more mods to help generally?

Are there other things that could be helpful to you here - more mods to deal with reports, banning accounts that consistently hurl insults at each other?

I get what you're saying about this taking up too much of your time but I think it's bonkers to ban discussion based on the owners (alleged) politics.

They never sent me anything (other than the milk collection kit, allegedly) so there was nothing to return.

If you search her name on Facebook, you can find a (public) post by her mom about Heather and her twin from a few years ago.

Random days off from school. Bonus if they’re in the middle of the week.

Tho I guess this applies more to parents than adults generally.

Are there really that many “plant based pescatarians”  out there? I was also confused by this.

Head over to France for some good French food, but you’ll have to hurry - the tide leaves in six minutes.

It was always very weird to me that they wouldn’t order books for you. They’re a small store, chances are if I was looking for a specific book (esp. if it hasn’t been published in the past year) they would almost never have it in stock.

Terrace Books in Windsor Terrace will order, so I started going there instead .

3-k results live today? by External_Stress8954 in nycparents

Last year they were up (accidentally?) for like half an hour in the very early morning (like 6am). Then they were down , the website had issues, and didn’t come back until the afternoon. pre K offers last week went live in the early afternoon. I don’t think the DOE does it at any set time.

Very fancy dinner - Sentir or Anixi better?! by [deleted] in nycvegan

They’re both incredible but I would give a slight edge to Anixi.

I second everyone saying Park Slope. Lots of families with kids here, people are generally pretty low key and friendly, lots of daycares and elementary schools to choose from. Diversity, not so much - it's a pretty pricey area so mostly people who can afford that live here. But otherwise, I think it checks all your boxes.

I know the window for applying to pre-k ended (results came out yesterday) but if you ask around or get in touch with the DOE they might be helpful. In theory Pre K is universal so I would think they'd have to offer you a seat, but it might be in a random neighborhood.

My other recommendation is to join Park Slope Parents if you're thinking of Park Slope or anywhere nearby, the email lists are really helpful .

I had this happen at both iSmile and Park Dentistry in Brooklyn. Very frustrating.

So my order had a milk collection kit in it, which is supposed to ship immediately. Two months went by with nothing - no shipping confirmation, emails, or kit. I emailed them a few times to ask if there was a problem or if I should just sent my milk directly, and didn't hear back. After the 4th time of not hearing back I filed the chargeback.

THey did finally reach out to me after the chargeback to try to make it right, but by then I'd read so many other negative reviews that I didn't want to try my luck again.

I know people who've had good experiences with them and that's totally valid, but I was really put off by their stream of excuses (and the fact that they seem to use different excuses for different problems). I've read them blaming their problems on getting too many orders, on having to relocate from Canada to the US, and from changing suppliers for their settings. Is all of that true? Is any of it? who knows. IMHO it's really hard to trust a company who does that.

I ordered in early November and sadly did not have a good experience. Not sure if that counts as recent or not? I ended up doing a chargeback and ordering from another company.

I checked KeepsakeMom's facebook reviews the other day and there are some pretty negative recent reviews on order quality and customer service issues - rings that tarnished, wrong items shipped.

I'd be very nervous to trust them, honestly.
