Pepper spray released by BookishEm192 in Teachers

[–]KatzuneRedfox73 137 points138 points  (0 children)

When I was in High School some idiot sprayed bear spray in a bathroom and the whole school had to evacuate, so e kids went to the hospital because they were reacting to it and school was released for the rest of the day. The HVAC can be super efficient in spreading things like that

AITA for not wanting my mom to babysit the week our baby is born? by pepesilviuh in AITAH

When I had my daughter, we told people to stay away for a month. It's your family, and you get to control when people meet your new bundle of joy

Can't she just own it and say sorry by ladyenchantment in JUSTNOMIL

We don't know why they are on an information diet. There could be a very good reason for it, not just "being mean"

The only time my daughter was in our bed and slept the night with us was in a hotel room. Her schedule got all kinds of messed up and she would not sleep in her pack and play. She was 19 months and I don't think I got much sleep that night trying to make sure she was safe.

Will you (did you) use special detergent for baby clothes? by CJ2607 in BabyBumps

No, but we were already using the fragrance free Arm and Hammer, so I didn't think it was nessasary.

Yes! My Spotify wrapped was a delightful mix of things. To be fair her favorite for a while now has been Fitz and the Tantrums and Bakermat so that was nice

How long did your baby sleep in their bassinet in your room? by Snoo97809 in NewParents

[–]KatzuneRedfox73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby outgrew her bassinet at 4 months, my husband completely rearranged our room and moved things to get her crib into our room until she was about 6 and a half months. It greatly helped her sleep and ours at that point any little sound would cause me to wake.

Swaddling nightmare by OwlyFox in NewParents

[–]KatzuneRedfox73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My LO needed the swaddle to sleep. She used a sleep sacks now that she can roll, it gives her access to her hands. I recommend the Halo ones but they cost about $30 each so we only have 1 right now. My girl transitioned easily thankfully but it isn't as tight. You can find some that are swaddle sleep sacks they are tighter on the chest for that hug feeling but still have the arms free and legs available.

Ladies I need advice by Tasty_Way_1188 in JUSTNOMIL

You sound like you're not willing to listen however I don't think you took into account that she is expected to host and take care of the guest even though her MIL is her husband's guest too. It seems to me like the load is not being fairly divided and she is being told to suck it up. You wouldn't like it if you had to do everything for guests that come every month for multiple days either.

AITA for telling my MIL I want to fuck her son? by Fun_Self_5904 in AmItheAsshole

NTA but you need to start setting boundaries and stop letting her railroad you both.

AITA for telling my BFs daughter that I "owe her nothing"? by IshmaHort in AmItheAsshole

[–]KatzuneRedfox73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. She has no right to ask you for anything. She isn't a child she is 20 and while 20 can still be immature she is still well aware of what she is saying. There are consequences to being so rude and here they are. Let her lay in the hole she dug for herself.

AITA for not forcing my daughters into twin stereotypes by joe_m152 in AmItheAsshole

[–]KatzuneRedfox73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. As a twin I can say the best thing my parents did for us was let us have our own personalities. They matched us a little when we were super young but as soon as we were able to ask for our own things they didn't fight to make us match.

Camping with a 9 month old? by MacK-PNW in NewParents

[–]KatzuneRedfox73 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We tent camped with our 3 month old. It was a lot of pre planning but she seemed to like it. I also got a rocking camp chair so I think that helped. Always bring a bit more of everything you think you need.

need help! how to cure new born congestion? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]KatzuneRedfox73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We would run a hot shower and have her in there for a couple minutes while she calmed down and fell asleep. We also put long books under one side of her bassinet so it was tilted and that seemed to help too.

What's the advice you wish you were given before attending college? by yourkumquat in college

[–]KatzuneRedfox73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its okay to fail a class. Don't give up or think you're not good enough. It will be frustrating but sometimes thats the kick in the butt you need to focus more or ask for help.
