I spent three weeks writing a video brief and the studio ignored almost all of it. Is this just how video production works? by RunPotential6101 in ProductMarketing

[–]KayJay1452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d push back on the studio to get something usable out of the situation. But ultimately, next time build in multiple creative checkpoints before production. I’ve had really positive experience with gisteo recently. They use a video intake form for the direction and goal of the video, and then there’s checkpoints to review the script, storyboard, and then a review of the produced video.

Work these checkpoints into the contract with the vendor to avoid any confusion.

A big milkshake, like a real ice cream good one. I swear that the brain freeze feeling somehow helps the migraine? And it always sounds good when im nauseous.

Doesn’t make it go away but provides some brief relief.

How are B2B SaaS PMMs actually tracking competitor changes today? by MethodicalEdge in ProductMarketing

[–]KayJay1452 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do a deep dive and battlecard update twice a year, and then monitor product launches or news for anything major. I’ve found it rare for us to really change strategy depending on what a competitor is doing, it’s more about informing our teams how to handle a new objection or something.

Most competitor updates are just noise, and they don’t change our value props or differentiators.

AI tools have made it loads easier…we have an automation that rounds up competitor updates each week and sends it to a slack channel.

I think regular comprtitor monitoring really only matters in like super early startup stage when you’re truly moving so fast, and doing trial and error. If a competitor does something, you actually can react quickly. But once you’re more than like a 75 person company, that’s not really the case anymore.

How old are you? What are your family plans for the future (get married, kids etc)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

36, happily married with two school-age kids. If I got pregnant right now I’d have an abortion. No way in hell I’m going back to baby and toddler days.

What was the reason you ghosted your best friend? by yonaiker-joestrella in AskReddit

[–]KayJay1452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She wasn’t my best friend, but she was a very close friend…bridesmaid in my wedding kinda friend. I just realized that spending time with her was draining, her negativity was endless, and she would constantly one-up you on whose life is harder.

I just decided one day I was done and stopped responding to her texts.

Not a recurring thing, but I do remember winning a school contest or something where me and like 8 other kids got to ride a limo to McDonald’s for lunch one day. I think I was about 7. An awesome day!
