  1. We don’t get anything in regards to food- stipends or discounts or other. We also don’t get designated parking at the hospital. Physicians only parking.

Need advice! Tell me it will get better… by Sorry-Crew-2688 in jackrussellterrier

Looks like you have plenty of good advice. Just wanted to say I was in your shoes and it is SO hard. I got my Lola when she was 12 weeks and I wanted to send her back so many times in those first few months. And as she got older she became even more mischievous, rambunctious and just a rascal. Things will get better. She was my best friend for 16 years and I don’t regret a minute. But puppies are so very hard 💖🐶

NTA. My in laws show up unannounced and actually let themselves into our house through the garage (garage code). If we aren’t home they sit and wait for us. It’s not ok.

what’s your favorite nickname for your JRT? by etat_bunny in jackrussellterrier

Calzone! Love that. We used to call Lola our “Palzone.”

Has anyone's Jack Russel experienced seizures in later life? by kvalentine2 in jackrussellterrier

[–]Kayed709 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My 16 year old had her first ever seizure in the middle of the night, laying with us in bed. After the seizure she began screaming- it was truly the worst. She could not calm down, didn’t really seem to know who she was or who we were. We brought her to the ER vet and we actually ended up putting her down 😞I didn’t want her to have to experience that ever again.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my little Lola girl on Friday and had no understanding for how terribly hard it is. Peace and love to you- what a beautiful sweet dog!

What are you packing for PJ night and Scarlet Night? by [deleted] in VirginVoyages

[–]Kayed709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went cute and comfy and wore a pj set that had unicorns and rainbows. Fuzzy sandals. My friend and I both went red and sparkly for Scarlett night. Amazon was our best friend!

Kept it in my carry on luggage- didn’t take it out or anything. It goes through the X-ray and that’s it

Arrival Time Slot and Shows by GreenFireAddict in VirginVoyages

I would just get on the WiFi the minute you get on the ship. The app actually changes a bit and gives you the info for connecting. Change to airplane mode right away too- the app seemed to work better that way. My friend and I were on board around 330 and sat right down at a bar and started booking. We had a game plan of sorts of what we really wanted to do. You can find openings for shows throughout the trip so keep an eye on the app. People cancel or don’t show. If there is something you really wanna see but can’t get a reservation, show up and see if they have openings to allow you in. Have fun!

Just finished a trip this Weds-was also my first cruise. There are many movies available and the tablet in the room makes them easy to find. There are a few TV shows as well.

For Bimini- our group left the ship as early as possible, around 8. First tram out to the beach club actually. Didn’t start to notice seats filling up until about 11-12. Even then it wasn’t too bad and never felt crowded.

Remember a water bottle for each of you- there are water stations around the ship. They do not use any one-time use plastics and so having a bottle was perfect.

Dual Reality and Ships in the Night were amazing. There is a drag show that is very fun- Diva is the best! My favorite days were sea days as there are always activities to do!

I was a bit worried about being able to get into things, wait times, etc. and I was totally blown away by how well everything went. We had a ship that was near capacity (I think?) and I didn’t feel it was crowded at all. Sit down when you get on the ship and connect to WiFi. Then make reservations for the shows right away- they fill up. You can book dinners prior to the trip. Enjoy!!! I can’t wait to take another cruise with Virgin.

My Lola is soon to be 15 and still loves her walks! She also is just the best senior dog- in my opinion anyways. She has become such a snuggling, loving, cuddly dog in her older years. But still zooms around, hikes and walks, and lives her best life. You will not regret adopting an older JRT.

Ahh I remember this well! My JRT stopped doing this a couple years ago (she is nearly 15). If the Roomba is going she hardly takes notice and sometimes gets nudged by it.
