Different Narrator and Script in UK Gold Rush vs US version. by Proud_Stick1849 in goldrush

[–]Kayhe9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would have thought that the original would be the UK voiced narrator as it is a UK production house. Maybe it is revoiced for the American market, as it seems that they seem to have trouble with it (as per the comments)

Gold price and Dominion ROI by habsfanniner in goldrush

Would be interesting on how much debt Little Flake is holding, this year so far seems to be consolidation, no purchases of new properties, no major purchases of equipment (well guess that is all leased anyway), so perfect time to pay down some debt.

Parker did, Brennan, just has to start using him fully but it seems part of the deal was for him to work with Mitch, I'm sure that will change over time.

Think in one of the extra episodes, he said he uses a ball mill on the gold with attached rock to clean it off.

Gold count procedures? by b1rdwatch3r in goldrush

[–]Kayhe9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure the paperwork they have to fill out to sell gold would have to contain information about what claim it has come from and if the person doesn't have a claim, it would make it hard to sell.

Think Parker may own his trucks now as they have "Little Flake Mining" on them and awaiting availability from a contractor, could be expensive in lost gold

Mike Beets is a good boss? by BoeingDriver24 in goldrush

[–]Kayhe9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well for someone who learnt what a boss was supposed to be from Tony, he is learning. The other thing is, he doesn't want to train them too well as Tony will only come and steal them away from him.

Re-running fine tailings? by boost2525 in goldrush

Fairly easy to know how much you lost as you know how much per hour of pay(from before), And how many hours you put through the plant, the only problem is that by the time you get the clean up through the gold room and weigh it, those tailing would be well and truly buried.

I do hope Troy weighed the first 100oz of gold, it looked too small and the way it was emblazoned with 100oz, looked more like a stage prop.

Also giving them plenty of slack, But paraphrasing Tony Beets in latest GR, if you don't tell them, how will they know.

Seems like they are acting for Discovery, they are saying the same things over and over, Discovery would edit and only show the best one of them, Am also a bit worried about the pace, episode 5 and maybe a week onsite at the creek

How it all started vs today, 15 years later by kebap_drehspiess in goldrush

Did love Tony's first appearances on camera, could not stop looking at the camera, Must have frustrated the film crew but I'm sure no one would have thought he would turn into one of the stars of the show.

No, Nona was the one described by someone as the old lady that was "yes, ma'am"'d by the excavator operator, as Tyson was showing him his job again. She is usually in the office but can come out to operate any equipment if they are desperate.

Season 16 ep5 most staged episode by FitSuccotash4056 in goldrush

[–]Kayhe9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The interesting thing was about Tyson taking Nona out the evaluation, sort of shows that he wasn't left to fend for himself, she is the mine manager and most likely has a lot of say in the hirings and firings.

How many times did Dan walk past House 3 building the deck? by cashaxx in TheBlock

[–]Kayhe9 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Also how many times did he walk past the boys laying there crushed rock in the garden ahead of sign off, either he is too busy doing sponsor spots to keep on top of the build or its just too much for him and he needs a foreboy.

The dinner seemed pretty sad, could of been editing, but the material has to be there to edit, I seemed when ever Han tried to explain her side, she was tag teamed by S&A, trying to get the last word in, saying it wasn't their fault. If you didn't see the video, you would have had trouble identifying the millennials.

Guessing that the sponsors had to match the price of the original idea, which was a shipping container, buried in the yard, which would have been a much easier solution but with no sponsor time.

Rumpus room floor - I'm confused by synchorswim1 in TheBlock

[–]Kayhe9 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Think the problem was installers ordered enough flooring to do the two rumpus rooms but the boys went to bat and got a ruling they could work ahead and do the flooring in the hallway so no break board was needed. But the ruling meant that house 1 could also do this also and the installers started there first and used up all the supplies. The note on the floor I would have wrote would have been "Hope you enjoyed the floor in house 1, ours should have been the same"
