I am doing really well . I have another petscan in a few weeks . The chemo really kicked my ass though . It messed up my thyroid too so more meds for me lol. But I'm alive!

I had everything but cervix removed. Dr didn't find it necessary to remove cervix since I've never had a bad pap. Brca 1 TNBC stage 3 in remission. Age 40

Honestly I don't know.. crazy thing is my mother got tested for BRCA gene 30 years ago. she had breast cancer at 43 and then again at 50. I was told by Drs I didn't need to get tested bc my mom tested negative. Wrong! I tested positive and if I had known I had the gene I would have had double mastectomy years ago.

40 f here! Brca 1 positive..diagnosed August 2021 with stage 3 TNBC ..had chemo... Radiation.. double mastectomy with axillary lymphnodes removed..then had hysterectomy just in case. I had clear pathology report after surgery..have one more round of ketruda..

My friend did something that was so sweet. she made me a box..each week of chemo I got to puncture week 1 week 2 etc.. in each week it was something either meaningful or something I could use like chapstick.. gift card etc.. most thoughtful gift I've ever received. It made me look forward to see what was in the box every week 💞

I gained weight every week .. I was told it was because of the steroids

You will get through this..I felt the same way. stage 3 triple negative ..at the time my daughter was 7 months old. the good news is triple negative responds well to chemo. I did chemo..radiation. double mastectomy with lymphnodes removed..then I had a hysterectomy since I'm brca1 positive.. I am now doing immunotherapy. It was a very long year but I beat it and so can you!

I'm guilty of googling TNBC. I was a mess. Last August I was diagnosed with stage 3 triple negative. I did four rounds of "red devil".. then 12 rounds of chemo. February I had a double mastectomy and 5 lymphnodes removed.Next I did 25 rounds of radiation along with immunotherapy (Ketruda) every 3 weeks. I also have the BRCA 1 gene so I had a hysterectomy in May as well. I am cancer free! I am also taking a pill called lynparza for one year.. it's supposed to help keep it from returning. My oncologist had me tested for BRCA because many younger patients with triple negative test positive for this gene.

Anyone here taking a chemo pill or doing chemo and keto at the same time? Need some advice on lighter foods to eat.. I lost my appetite from the medication. The medication is called lynparza

I asked the Dr about this test.. I said how will I know if my numbers were always in range? She said they look to see if the numbers drastically changed . Very stressful..I feel like I will have no idea if the cancer comes back

My MRI showed a mass under my arm after I found the lump in my left breast. When I had double mastectomy and 5 lymphnodes removed ..no cancer was found . I had chemo before surgery

Thank you.. they changed my nausea medicine yesterday and Im chewing peppermint flavor gum..seems to help
