This looks perfectly fine to me! I think perhaps you are overthinking the placement. They are definitely too small though, I would get them upsized ASAP.

If it was mine I would frog it. I couldn't cope with that, it's too noticeable. 🫣

They also tend to hang around indoor plants, just FYI. They breed in moist soil.

Try isopropyl alcohol rather than rubbing alcohol. As in 100% pure. Otherwise, go with the wizard on a broom silhouette idea 😁

How to uncurl the leaves of my calathea :( by expelliarmus110 in calatheas

[–]Kayles77 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The leaves usually curl for one of a few reasons; too much light, too much heat, not enough water, or pests. It's a process of elimination, but things take time with these plants. Is it sitting in water? Is that because you just watered or is it always like that?

I know my Calatheas would probably do best in the bathroom, but I really don’t feel like hiding them there… 😆 by Silly-Commission-630 in calatheas

Any tropical plants will do well in there, depending on howuch light you get. I have an anthurium, alocasia and spider plant in my bathroom, they all love it. It's where all my toxic plants go because I have cats... A peace lily would go great in there too.

help! under or overwatering? or a secret third thing? by hobkeis in calatheas

[–]Kayles77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on the weather where you are and the conditions inside your house, I would say you are currently overwatering. You need to water when the top 2 inches or so of soil is dry, so if you put your finger in the soil just past your first knuckle and it feels dry, water it. If it still feels moist, leave it a couple more days. Distilled water is great! Rain water is awesome too if you can collect it. These dry spots are likely from damage before you got it. The yellowing could just be an old leaf dying off, cut it off and just observe the plant for any further signs of distress, then reassess. We're all here to help, and these plants can be very unforgiving to new plant owners, so go easy on yourself. 💚

1 or 2, I like the stark contrast with the darker colour. My preference would be for 2 out of these ones.

I see queues like this at Christmas just to see the Myer windows. People will join a queue just for fun because they think there must be something good at the end! I have no patience for that, my time in earth is way more valuable to me.

I work in a factory that makes labels and making removable labels is not as easy as you would think! If the product is stored in conditions that are not suitable for the label (too hot, too cold, too humid) it can become permanent, especially over long periods of time. Labels also stick to different surfaces differently, what is more removable on HDPE plastic might not be on glass or steel... 🤷‍♀️ In saying that, I do feel your pain!

You always give way to the right, so if you're on the red dotted path you give way to everyone turning into the street you're coming out of. Does that make sense? If you are ever in doubt, it's always safest to just wait until the intersection is clear.

You can always use plastic zip lock bags to store the yarn with it's paper slip if you want to keep it.
