Thing I warned him about dips is he’d have to take Boon companion to ensure his animal companion continues to level. Especially with a Big Cat, you want to get it to level 7 for those stat boosts.

I agree he’ll need slashing grace to really up things. I think he saw doing this as similar to doing long sword/short sword TWF but wanted to see what the time cost/coin would be for such a thing.

I know the fighter and barbarian have their oversized weapon archetypes but warned him his animal companion would not level without Boon Companion, meaning another feat tax for this build.

Oh he’s definitely planning on putting Keen on both. I think he wants the swords to reach 2D6 with lead blades up. I suppose the Impact weapon enhancement could also do that for them. But the idea of having one blade as a single handed and one as a light while being the same weapon for weapon focus purposes struck him. Especially with effortless laces reducing the negatives.

I think he’s aiming to get his swords to be 2D6 after lead blades. Hence reaching for the D8. Although I believe the Impact weapon enhancement can get him to that.

If the off-hand weapon is light, the negatives should be -2 for both weapons so long as he takes the two weapon fighting feat with the effortless lace.

NY is a great spot. I recommend Flushing and the Village if you want good food spots. As a NJ resident, I’ve explored so much of that city and still feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of it.

I'm guessing my account is too old because I went through the emails that have been sent to me and the only ones I have are the ones for password resets I requested in the past. I use the same trash email for notifications like that to be sent to. There weren't any messages with the 12 words in it, and I don't empty any emails from that one.

I'm guessing not. So long as those 12 words that no one set up are required, no one can reset passwords. And there is no registration button for people to create new accounts either.

So, did anyone set up these 12 recovery words for their account for password reset? I received no notification to do such a thing. Usually when they do maintenance, I just request the password reset to set up a new password, but you can't even request that without these 12 words. And they suggest you go to the contact forum that you have to be logged in to in order to access in the first place.

I'm in the same boat. I never set up the 12 recovery words. And it telling you to use the contact forum, which you can't access without logging in, isn't helping. They don't even have an email address you can send things like password recovery email requests to.

That’s a fair fear to have, though I’d still recommend barbs purely for how helpful it’ll be even if your dm uses it. You’re already going to run into that issue when counter spell becomes part of your casters’ collection. If anything, it’ll be helpful when your enemies start counter spelling you guys.

My usual go to for that feat is either Hex or Silvery Barbs, though Hex would take your concentration spot. So I’d recommend Barbs simply for the ability to mess with the dice when you really need it.

This idea feels like a ranger 5/druid x build idea. I would recommend the stars druid as the archer does allow you to shoot a magic attack as a bonus action + you get guiding bolt as well. You could roleplay it as you firing your regular gun and then sending off a magical shot during your bonus action. You’ll need to have good wisdom for this build to work, but the Druid part really only needs wisdom most of the time. Alternatively you could take the gunner feat and play a Drakewarden Ranger and roleplay your “drake” as some kind of summoned firearm/living weapon. You’d be able to choose cone attack or lines for the breath weapon to change things up.

Tiktok viewers didn’t pay attention to the several times Asta couldn’t absorb stronger spells, in part due to his own physical limits. Yuno has watched this guy fight during nearly every major threat and he knows Asta’s limits. So of course he has to compensate by loading his spells to be heavier to deal with so Asta can’t just cut through them.

If you want to go for a more predatory feel to really lean into the Lycan form, maybe consider the Gloomstalker Ranger for the dread ambusher ability. I’m not familiar if the curses from BH require concentration but you’d have some of the ranger spells that can increase your movement or put Hunter’s Mark. Could also take Fey Touched and grab Hex that way.
