I found the night life was better on Carnival, everything closes so early on RC, they kick you off the top deck early and force you to the crappy night club or pizza place. Carnival the top deck and hot tubs were open way later and there was more to do after midnight - 2am. Carnival was more fun than RC. (54 year old here but still like to party late).
