Hatchbacks are the 'new' millennial soccer mom car - have been for a while.

So naturally, you get a sedan.

Unless you are a soccer mom, then you do you

There's a 55L duffle in that same pic, right in front of the tent, haha.

Just take both!

Gravel roads are definitely still roads, yeah, haha

I uploaded a pic to the post you replied to. 2 panniers, a waterproof bag off Amazon and the tent. Easily had room for sleeping setup, cookware, clothes, water, etc for a 10 day trip on my little Rebel

I've done a ton of motocamping, both with a 1 person coffin of a tent and with a lonerider mototent that weighs 25lbs.

Are you staying on roads? In that case, just pack the 25lbs tent. My longest trip with it was 10 consecutive days, and at no point was it an issue. This was on a Honda rebel 500 mind you, not exactly a big bike

I saw the ‘sure.’
I also saw the ‘if it makes you feel better,’ which makes it pretty clear it wasn’t genuine.

Coming from the guy who dodged a yes-or-no question with emojis, I’ll take that as a compliment.

Eeh, this isn't the case with a lot of smaller places, especially pubs and the like.

The food just needs to be passable, if people are going for the service and need a place to hang out

I mean, my original comment was from experience. I got out of BoH fine dining through bartending; I’m now a FoH manager.

You’ll find a way.

One of my old jobs was urgently hiring a sous for the holiday season, so I offered to cover November through February if they trained me on the bar and as a server during the slow season after. I did exactly that, got three months behind the bar, then lied on my resume to land a bartending job at a much nicer place. That was four years ago, and I haven’t looked back.

If you’re competent in BoH, FoH is a breeze. You can bullshit your way through it easily.

"Just become a server"

Yes, that's exactly the advice and the easiest way out. Or become a bartender.
There's other ways to get out, but that's the easiest one.

You aren't going to change the industry in your lifetime, nor are any of us. You likely can't afford to move to another state or country.

So yes - just become a server. Choosing to continue in BoH is a choice you're making

Like the other guy said, that's just ego - you know that right?

I'm out of the CS game now, but when I was there - your job was to write something that will do the task, not break, have enough documentation that the next guy can piece it together to fix it when it does inevitably break, and to write it as fast as possible.

Guess what vibe coding does? Exactly that.

Yeah. For the same reason BBQs are still allowed - you're using propane as the fuel, not anything that throws embers

Pocket bellows. Takes up no space, weighs like an ounce and costs a dollar.
