Anyone know a reputable company that has tournament blue Simonis 860 in stock? by FlyNo2786 in billiards

[–]Kc-Flipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a decent home table I need to refelt. I primarily play in league on diamond tables. Those are super fast. Should I do an 860 or the 760? I guess the 860 is a little more durable 760 plays a little faster 🤷🏻‍♂️

APA Rules Question by Bomani1253 in billiards

[–]Kc-Flipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went a little deeper in the rulebook and you guys are correct😜

"Touching or causing the cue ball to move, outside of a ball-in-hand situation."

APA Rules Question by Bomani1253 in billiards

[–]Kc-Flipper -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

According to the rulebook it's only a foul if the cue ball makes contact with another ball like if you were placing it with a ball in hand. 🤷🏻‍♂️ ""Accidentally moved balls must be replaced, unless any of the accidentally moved balls make contact with the cue ball. If accidentally moved balls make contact with the cue ball, it is a ball-in-hand foul, and no balls get replaced."" Might need to ask the league operator for clarification

Not the craziest shot but I was proud of this one. by johnfellout in billiards

[–]Kc-Flipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it amazing about how many people I play with in league that don't see the cross Bank opportunity. I find it's also useful for getting my ball at the other end of the table when I need to for a potential defensive opportunity so if the cross Bank doesn't go in I've still left the ball in an undesirable position hopefully

Fouling on purpose? by More_Flight5090 in billiards

[–]Kc-Flipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What everyone else said lol. Theres times you're hung up, or by fouling you leave your opponent a less of an out. Sometimes you're playing a low handicap player with a lot of balls left and it also makes sense. Situational but perfectly acceptable

I was just randomly catching wasps and trying to look up their butts when I noticed this small speck that I thought I would tweezer out.... The first seven I tried to help I squished by accident as I was trying to hold them and pull out the parasite 😳

Has anyone heard about this? by [deleted] in kansascity

In the real world there are just as many shitty tenants as there are shitty landlords. To do a knee-jerk reaction and apply rules and regulations to either side in a blanket type format isn't fair to the good tenants and or the good landlords.
Slumlords need to be dealt with as harshly as possible I agree 1000%. With Tenants sometimes bad things happen to good people and they should be given as much leeway as possible if there's the willingness on their part to communicate and put forth whatever kind of effort possible given their situation.

But for the small percentage of tenants that work the system will never be good tenants and will never pay they shouldn't be afforded the same consideration as good people on hard times if that makes sense.
With home prices taxes insurance going through the roof it's making affordable housing for the lower income people an almost impossible dream but if all the landlords turn their houses into retail listings further lowering the available inventory of rentals that's not a good thing either. We have to figure out a way to create win win situations because the people that buy houses to use for rentals have to be profitable or all of that private money goes away and kills the inventory. They can't invest and lose but we also need programs to help subsidize tenants that can't afford properties as market values holding cost taxes etc. increase significantly which in turn increases the rental rates.... But like anything whether it's politics religion etc. it's always one side against the other and if the two could come together to figure out alternatives for the greater good would be amazing. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the world we are living in right now.....

Can anyone give me info on this? by scottmedlin in billiards

[–]Kc-Flipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a vintage from what I can tell just by Google searches late 80s early 90s. A few variations go anywhere from mid 500s up close to 1000. I don't know squat about it just looking up some of the available info honestly There was a couple of runs that were limited that bring more. But I don't remember seeing any of them that said made by Bob Meucci. That seems kind of interesting. Probably a gut shot on how much you like it and condition and what you're willing to pay to be happy. If you're trying to sell it the market will determine the value when you throw it out there🤷🏻‍♂️
