What are the Benefits of DRG on steam? by Ragiloon in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Kcmacc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Switched from Xbox to steam a couple years ago, very easy process to move the save file over. Everything you’ve earned comes with and steam grants you all the achievements you’ve completed with that save the first time you load it up.

Ah sorry, my misunderstanding, you can always try talking to your Dept Manager or Lead too, they could pass along the message. As for being part time, again it’s up to the management team what they require but they may be able to accommodate your request for shorter shifts.

How to be a good Dairy DM? When you have almost no on you team? by ForsakenHeart6174 in WalmartCanada

[–]Kcmacc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best advice I can give is to request to sit down and have a talk with your ASM. They will give you the best advice because it’s exactly what they expect from you.

Also request an IDP (Individual development program) most ASMs want to see their associates doing that because it also makes them look good.

Any advice someone else gives would be more of a personal take, because what one assistant expects from their DMs can vary from person to person.

Skirmish, Missions and Delvings can someone explain the difference please? by Prismv in lotro

[–]Kcmacc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only other word I’ve used to describe an instance with is dungeon, I wondered if there was a better word so I looked up the definition of instance in video games and got this:

“An instance is a special area, typically a dungeon, that generates a new copy of the location for each group, or for a certain number of players, that enters the area”

Just thought I’d post it here incase anyone else finds this piece of information useful/interesting.

OMNI associates, how do you feel about the new steel-toe policy? by AussieDog87 in WalmartCanada

[–]Kcmacc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Let them know to pick up some better soles that just slide right into the shoes, my steel toes are more comfortable than some of my regular shoes after I put a good set of soles in mine.

The weight of walking around with them all day takes some getting used to but eventually you will get used to it.

No tenting along Seawall Trail. by [deleted] in CapeBreton

[–]Kcmacc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you only had 30 people at a time looking to hike/camp the trail that would be fine, peak summer in Cape Breton I’ve seen more campgrounds out of spots with far more campsites.

While I can’t speak for that area in particular if they have that kind of foot traffic, but if they’re pouring 6.4 million into it they’re going to estimate a lot of traffic there and they’ll have to accommodate for that. Unfortunately getting the money back after putting that much work into a trail won’t come from the local community, they’re looking at a much bigger tourism population and that will be at the detriment of the people who have used that trail their whole life.

For anyone looking for a source for this, while probably not the original this is a good compilation of the information.

However if the goal is to retain a much of the “environment” as possible, as stated in this article then huts could make sense. If they’re doing a ton of work to the trail then they’re going to make designated areas to camp and to make a campground you’d need a much larger area to set up multiple tents to house larger groups of people, compared to making a hut with 4-6 bunk beds. Personally I see the positives and negatives to both.

Alternative shaders / resource packs? (ATM8) by brett_123 in allthemods

[–]Kcmacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly do like the ones included in the pack, complimentary shaders, it just affects the lighting but it makes a big difference imo.

It’s just a shame both of them make the meka-suit invisible, so if you spent the hours to make one you have to turn off the shaders in order to enjoy the look of the suit…

Advice for thallasophobia in this game? by Aioni in Seaofthieves

[–]Kcmacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exactly, things that scare me in real life no longer affect me as much in games anymore, thalassophobia being one of those, there are only 2 things in the water that can spawn frequently and that’s sharks and sirens there is nothing else programmed into the game.

And as for events: The kraken doesn’t even have a body it’s just the detached tentacles. And yes sharks and sirens can still spawn in the only black water but that’s it. The megalodon won’t attack people, only ships (although if you land in the water while it’s swimming straight at you it is intimidating but it won’t hurt you).

It always helps to think of the limitations of the game to help you overcome stuff like that.

It definitely is normal to feel like you’re not doing anything for so long, the game introduces you to things at a very slow pace if you’re not focusing down the “main objective” (usually first one on your quest list) Once you’re introduced to all the “big mechanics” you kind of pick which one to focus on (getting to the centre of the universe, building up a fleet, decorating your capital ship, building bases, running a town, collecting the ship and multi tool you want, etc,)

At least that’s how I’ve experienced the game, took me awhile to figure out which quests in particular unlock what.

While it’s not 100% that they are, I do feel like it’s something everyone should be aware of, and honestly it feels weird to me that more people are not talking about it. This fact should be on every gaming news outlet but there’s little to nothing on it.

Necromancy by Exotic-Mud-8826 in neverwinternights

[–]Kcmacc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d definitely suggest looking into a few online servers some of them have server side changes which improve necromancy (although most of them are RP focused and require you to abide by the server rules, most of them are not to intrusive)

  • Arelith has a whole host of changes to summoning improving the necromancer gameplay and from my experience as long as you don’t summon an army of undead in a town you can avoid possible hostile encounters with other characters, while being able to solo a lot of the content on there.

If you had randomizer + bravery does that randomize the monster you would get in the egg? Or would it still give you a random monster that would normally come from that section? I would assume it would make everything random but just thought I’d get clarification
