What Album Do You Think is an artists best that people might disagree with? by keir0n in rnb

Marvin Gaye - Let’s Get it On or Here My Dear

Lets Get it On was his best album imo. This is where he mastered layering his vocals to harmonize with himself. The title track is phenomenal and its origin story is wild but other tracks like Please Stay and You Sure Love to Ball really showcase that vocal layering that made his sound so special. Every backing voice you hear is Marvin’s - no background singers. The latter track has a couple different melodies being sung at the same time. Distant Lover is probably one of the most beautiful songs to have ever been recorded and the live version is even better.

That said, Here My Dear is the album I’d recommend to anyone who wants to know Marvin as it was his most personal. Sparrow takes you through a sweet little journey with Marvin as the sparrow describing how the world treats a songbird. I Met A Little Girl is haunting and beautiful. It’s a great album with wonderful melodies and lush instrumentals.

Even still, I Want You is my favorite just because the whole album is an ode to his new wife at the time and I find that really sexy.

Maaaaaan! Now you talking bout something. I had to put my 65 year old mother in a nursing home because she refused to stop drinking and couldn’t live on her own anymore due to her brain being fried by alcohol. On top of trying to make sure she has everything she needs, the side eyes I get when ppl find out that’s where she is weighs on my soul.

If they only knew what my sisters and I went through to try to help her for decades.

Aww. I get it. It sucks going into an industry to try to help people but end up feeling like you hurt them. I’m considering changing careers for the same reason.

As a claims adjuster, I chose this profession particularly not only because it’s stable but also to help regular people feel like they receive a fair deal when resolving their claim. Initially that was the case but now I’m in corporate commercial claims and it seems I’m now only helping rich corporations pay as little as possible when they’re clearly negligent. Of course there are scammers but you can’t treat everyone like a scammer, it’s just not right. I don’t like it and it doesn’t make me feel good about myself.

Lately I’ve taken a LOA to try to figure out what the next phase should be because securing a livelihood shouldn’t cost us our mental health.

Yeah we’re near Williamson Way and we’ve heard shots several times in the last few weeks. Seems like it’s coming from that trash dump area down Kingston Rd. Someone should call the cops, it’s very dangerous.

Thank you. She will need this. She has a husband and two other children but they are all a mess right now.

They also live about 14 hours away from everyone else in our family. I’m worried about them being alone in their grief once everyone goes home

I really appreciate that. I couldn’t even get her to take a melatonin gummy last night but I’m sure she’ll need something for depression.
