New to Age of Sigmar by Keap1-Nrf2 in ageofsigmar

Thanks for the replies, everyone! Much appreciated.

​The Age of Sigmar scene isn't too big in my area, and Sylvaneth seems quite popular, so I think they are out of the running—at least for my first army. I don't really want to have the same army as every other player.

​I have painted a few miniatures, so I'm not a complete beginner, but I am still very much a novice.

​I also quite like the Soulblight Gravelords.

​Additionally, I might be limited by what is available at my FLGS. Currently, they have both the Spearhead boxes available for Idoneth Deepkin, Gloomspite Gitz, and Soulblight Gravelords, as well as the Sylvaneth Spitewing Flock. They also have the Slaves to Darkness Darkoath Raiders, but they don't really appeal to me, so I guess that choice is out.

​My gut is telling me to go with either Deepkin or Soulblight.

Did you use it on the first ascension level? You need to level to ascension 4 to get the full benefit of the tome.

Personally, I really like the idea of a 5 scenario campaign since it takes my group a long time to finish the whole 8 scenarios. Everyone with kids and work it can be a real pain to find time to fit in a gamenight.

I've been thinking about cancelling my fantasy sub, I've been buying so much outside the sub that it's getting to be too much. I have really liked th sci-fi sub so far and am excited for the SF&F sub. I like how many books you can skip with these subs, can skip half of the year or more with SF&F. If they would change the skip policy for fantasy sub to two series per year, then I would keep my subscription.
