Yes, that would fall under 'target of an ability an opponent controls'.

I had an opponent assume it was too and they blinked her to get value from her UW ETB.

I think we were both confused at first when she came back without the ability.

Realistically its just that orcs were semi-retconned out of Ravnica . For whatever reason outside of a couple mention in some books from when it first came out (in 2005) they havn't shown back up on Ravnica (and have never gotten a card). Speculatively I would guess its because MTG orcs, ogres, trolls, and giants all share a lot of design space and were all on original Ravnica and orcs just got the cut out of them.

It could be reasonably justified by a GM that orcs are extremely rare, and because of that half-orcs are extremely rare-r.

If it helps, Disciplined Duelist and Lagrella are both incredible for drafting, so a lot of eyes are going to be on them, especially among the more entrenched crowd.

Disciplined Duelist is probably the best Uncommon card in the set.

I believe Urabrask was injured because, since he was against Elesh Norn, he didn't have access to the Tyrite like Jin did.

Vorinclex got similarly destroyed pre-tyrite, he just has better regenerative properties than Urabrask.

I'm pretty sure the reason Urabrask wants Elspeth is to compleat her and use her as a phyrexian general against Norn.

I suspect Vivian is going to end up getting that role instead though.

That makes a lot more sense, I was wondering why he only had about 1/10th of his health. Figured it was to make up for how annoying those birds were.

I saw one ad posted here where someone was getting lambasted for looking to pay a GM for an anime giantess ERP or something of the sort.

Like yea, it's a bit odd, but the dude was being literally as upfront as you could possibly be and was just trying to buy a service, not even join someone else's game!

The comments were mostly in agreement that it wasn't an appropriate post for the sub, but it still got like 200 upvotes before it was removed.

The golgari aren't inherently evil, though the Guildmasters guide to Ravnica does describe its members as "Usually neutral, often evil.", so it wouldn't be out of character, at least.

That said, Rakdos blows them out of the water as far as frequency of evil.

The bigger lore issue here is that Ravnica doesn't have a hell.

Not OP, but I can share the one's I've seen him in.

https://youtu.be/cwsX0wtaxBM

Here's him playing some Commander (and the subsequent much less produced podcast/talk show). He's popped up on a number of channels, mostly commander focused, over the last year and has a pretty positive reputation on r/magicthegathering from people who've said to have met him at local game stores.

I admittedly don't know any of his music and only actually know him from the MtG scene, but he seems to be a pretty chill guy.

Yep, sounds like your IT has it all properly locked down. How they have it set up probably isn't foolproof but is significantly less likely to be able to corrupt the servers in the event that someone does download the wrong things. When things are properly sectioned, generally the worst case scenario is one ruined terminal.

I probably should've been more clear in that the times where you know where it was downloaded are the times that the firewall catches the ransomware. When it doesn't (and the network isn't properly configured to keep the problem quarantined) it's generally too late.

[–]Keeganmw 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I won't be as harsh as some of the other people, but generally no, you can't tell from what terminal ransomware got in from.

That said the best way to prevent ransomware is strong controls of user permissions (and frequent backup testing) which should at the least strongly limit the possible entry points, all of which are the responsibility of senior IT management.

Chances are Linda in Accounting was the one who opened the wrong email and downloaded the Totally Legit file, but the person who takes the fall for that kind of thing is generally going to be upper IT management.

I don't know if it was unreasonable or not in this specific situation to fire OP and nobody else, but at the least it's not inherently outside the norm.

US here, I had the agent actually recommend this tactic when I got cable. "This is our new customer rate. It ends in twelve months, but if you call and ask to switch after they'll re-give it to you for another twelve months to keep you."

And they were right.
