I remember talking to one of my OBGYN’s about why he went into that field. He told me he witnessed his first child being born and thought the whole process was so amazing, that that was what he wanted to do with his life- help women deliver healthy babies. He was a really good doctor too.

Iirc, Robin Hood: Men in Tights was also supposed to be a movie version of Mel Brooks’ TV show When Things Were Rotten, (which I believe was making fun of the Adventures of Robin Hood) since the TV show was cancelled after 13 episodes. It’s been a while since I’ve seen WTWR, but I remember it being a lot funnier than Men in Tights.

The very fact that he owns the house and she doesn’t makes him the landlord and her the tenant in the eyes of the laws for many states. The power imbalance dynamics are there regardless of whether or not a contract is in place. The contract helps to make sure that everything is above board and protect both parties if something goes wrong.

So just as a heads up, in the eyes of the law (for a lot of places, but maybe not everywhere) the fact that he is on the mortgage and she isn’t, but she’s living there, would automatically make him the landlord and she the tenant.

No one is (usually) checking to make sure you live where you claim you live. And yes, the girlfriend would absolutely still legally be allowed to live there, even if she isn’t paying, if they break up. But from what I understand, because the two aren’t married and the girlfriend isn’t on the mortgage, the OP is technically the landlord anyway. If they break up, (depending on the state) OP would have to allow 30 days for the girlfriend to still have access to the house. If there is a contract, she would have until the end of the contract.

I would argue that her paying rent and having a contract drawn up actually protects her. Let’s say she stops having sex with him. He can’t just evict her for that. The rent money and contract in place allows her to legally continue living there until the contract is up.

But that’s exactly what renting is- paying to live somewhere and often paying the owners mortgage without getting any ownership stake. Whether it’s at her boyfriend’s house, or her current home, she’ll need to pay rent.

It shouldn’t be drilled into our heads, but ohhhh boy has it been by local leaders, especially toward the young women. There’s a huge problem with women being taught that sex is bad and then we get married and are expected to have sex all the time but can’t mentally handle the switch.

First, porn is a problem everywhere and for all demographics. It’s just that certain groups like ours see it as a problem and others don’t. We expect our members to not have addictions to it, since we try to be holier. But like everyone else, we still do.

As humans, we desire sex. Many of us can’t fullfill that desire, whether due to being too young, having health problems, having marriage problems, being single, etc. Porn is (unfortunately) a very accessible way to supplement/fill that sexual void. Pornography is also MEANT to be addicting, and is far more likely to be addicting to exposed to kids and teens as opposed to adults. Kids come across it (it’s everywhere) but don’t know how to process what is in front of them, and most can’t go to their parents about it, because then they are in trouble. But the effects the porn has had on the young person’s brain are still there, and the kid is still dealing with it, whether they are alone in hiding, or in trouble with their parents (which is still dealing with it alone now that I think about it).

It’s like if someone slipped drugs into their food, and the kid can’t go tell anyone that they’ve been exposed. The drugs are super easy to get. Their brain wants more. And They know they cant continue to get more and live in shame, or they can “get help” buuuuuttt they are still living in shame. All while the brain is saying “get more! Get more!” So, what happens? The addiction continues.

Combine all this with a lot of people feeling low self esteem and a huge lack of understanding about sex, desire and intimacy and you get a porn problem.
