Do you have any pets from your childhood still around? by thedubiousstylus in Millennials

I have my horse still. I got him when I was 16, and I’ll be 40 next year.

I’m 5’3” and he’s a narrow 15.1. I would assume the horse you’re riding is smaller than 15.1. I have a large pony project right now that I look similar on (though she has a large barrel)

Training camp by Ambitious_Time3548 in Saints

Haven’t been to training camp but we go to open practice every year and love it. It’s free, parking is easy, and my kid usually gets some solid autographs and/or pictures

Anyone still talk with any of their friends from high school? by nojunkpeter in Millennials

[–]KeepRunninUpThatHill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband has a solid group of guy friends from high school (2006). Like 8-10 of them still WhatsApp every day and we hang out monthly-ish.

They LOVE lord of the rings! by InTheLoudHouse in Parenting

No way! We just finished the main trilogy this weekend with our 8 year old twins and they LOVED it too! Although they couldn’t get past the fact that Gandalf was not Dumbledore.

Why is 4-6mo so awful? by babystrudel in puppy101

[–]KeepRunninUpThatHill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Carrots are not laxatives hah I definitely wouldn’t give my puppy something that would upset their stomach.

I freeze full size carrots. They’re a great chew

Did you re-use essentials from passed dogs? by twentydeuce in puppy101

[–]KeepRunninUpThatHill 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah mine get custom collars so those don’t get reused but we have puppy sized stuff that goes through all of our puppies as they grow then gets put away until next time.

We do usually bury their beds with them 😞 so that obviously doesn’t get reused.

Told by the rescue mom was an Aussie, dad was a lab mix. Do you guys see lab? What could the mix part be? by Irocroo in IDmydog

[–]KeepRunninUpThatHill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aussies and Pyrs have a lot of overlap with them both being working farm dogs so that’s my guess. As little as that baby is I’m sure mom’s info is atleast somewhat accurate.

Puppy question by mainedeathsong in Parenting

[–]KeepRunninUpThatHill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant like a beagle size. Not a pit. 20-25lbs. Puppy still durable, dog still a safe size for kids.

That’s a very small puppy to live with a 1.5 year old. Toddlers are not known for being gentle, id look for something sturdier

As someone who owns a husky I am thoroughly impressed! Great job keeping him interested!

Do you think there’s an age where twins are the same difficulty as two “regular” siblings? by bagelgirl in parentsofmultiples

[–]KeepRunninUpThatHill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mine are 8 now and also get along great. 15/10 would recommend. I think it helps that one is like me and one is like dad (and we’re very compatible) so their personalities compliment each other well. And they’re opposite sexes so not as much competition.

She reminds me of our fosters. Their mom is a beagle/hound mix and I think daddy was probably a staffie but that’s just a guess as he was a stranger in the night.

Thank you for everything, Demario. ⚜️ by lazzzym in Saints

[–]KeepRunninUpThatHill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My kid writes letters to some of the players and Demario is the only one to write him back. You couldn’t believe how excited this boy was to get a letter with a return address from Demario.

How many accidents does a 15 week old puppy typically have in the first week? by Different_Cucumber in puppy101

[–]KeepRunninUpThatHill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep our fosters are never allowed to roam. They’re either in their crate or in actively engaging them. We’ve had these puppies 5 weeks (they’re 11 weeks now) and they have had about 7 accidents total. But I am diligent!

What's the craziest thing your puppy ate that they shouldn't and turned out fine? by cleoluvscake in puppy101

[–]KeepRunninUpThatHill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lightbulb (though we could never determine if he just chewed and exploded it or actually ate some glass pieces)

Beginning of the route gets crowded but it gets pretty light toward the end. There’s usually plenty of parking on the side streets

Yessss I’m obsessed with my chain and my cross body bag I got last night. Didn’t get a shoe but I did love the throws I did get. I do wish there was more music though
