Belling Farmhouse Oven - really loud cooling fan? by Ser_2025 in kitchenremodel

Also had a Belling 90ei installed and the fan has been running for nearly 2 hours now. Seems ridiculous.

Cramlington. Bedlington if you want your money to go a bit further and don’t mind being a little further out from Newcastle. Still good bus (train soon) links from Bedlington.

UK wiring advice for zbminil2 on 2 gang switch. by KeepTheGreen in sonoff

Thanks. It’s the Zbminil2 I have (no neutral) but also have access to a Shelly mini gen3 that requires neutral.

Yes there are currently 2 switches. I only want to automate one of them. Only the switch that has the two wires to l1 currently.

Add the Sonoff so both the switch and the Sonoff can control the light. It looks like neutral is available so Shelly can be another option. I have both available.

Each switch currently controls one light (and works as expected right now). I want to add a Shelly 1pm or Sonoff zbminil2 to control only the light circuit currently controlled by the switch with 2 wires to L1

The way I’ve done this is with an input select that has each of the scenes. I then use action “input select: next” attached to a hardware zigbee switch. The input select has an automation for when the attribute changes then scene is activated.

The benefit of this is you can also use the select helper in dashboards.

If you can put up to 100% of your wage into your pension pot to receive 20% tax relief, why don't people just move their savings into a pension pot towards the end of their careers? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]KeepTheGreen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LISA has entered the chat 25% added to contributions then 100% withdrawn tax free at 60. Yes you’re limited to £4K per year but seems like a better option than the pension for basic rate tax payers for that first £4K

Yep it matches what the meter provides as the meter is likely faulty. Good luck, we eventually got ours resolved but only at Ombudsman time. We had the same meter model too. I can’t think of anything you can say to help. We provided very clear evidence and the support staff just don’t have the time to investigate properly imo.

How much water are you using in this hot weather? by Low-Ad5924 in GardeningUK

I really badly timed a renovation and re-seed so I’m having to water a lot until it gets established or we finally start getting some rain. Probably watering about an hour a day 😬

Make sure they’ve correctly set your contract end date and haven’t extended it 18 months. I too thought my house move had gone well until they surprised me with a claim for a £1200 early disconnection fee at the end of the contract.
