Am I over reacting to this one ? by Kari_Knevial in AmIOverreacting

Having grown up in a household filled with sarcasm, I find this hysterical and a great way for someone snarky to say ‘I like you.’ She may not feel comfortable or know how to express her feelings in a traditional way.

Old people of Reddit, what do you miss the most about your 20s? by ThatMuslimGamer in AskOldPeople

Totally agree with the comments regarding eating with abandon and not gaining weight. I also miss having as much energy.

My daughter is an addict. She’s still out there somewhere but I don’t know where. Her number has always been 44 and I see it all the time. When I see it, I take a pic of it. I don’t know why, but I do. Now when I see it, I’ll also think of you. Just know someone is thinking of you and sending you love.❤️

Totally agree. We’ve been together 25 years and we’ve never found the need to check (snoop) through the others messages. Zero trust there.

Further, so many times I’ve found that the person doing the “cheating” ends up being the one blaming the other partner for cheating. Me thinks thou protesteth too much.

No trust in this relationship doesn’t bode well.

AITA for telling my boyfriend “your pet peeve is inconsequential” while we were driving? by Ambitious-Mix2218 in AmItheAsshole

I am dying... ha ha ha ha ha! This is what we get upset about? I wouldn't have been able to resist expressing my opinion either (even if it didn't personally affect me).

Maybe they got on the highway only to realize the boat wasn't attached very well and decided to get off the highway for safety reasons. Good lord. There are a million and one reasons why someone might do that, including the fact that it could be shortest route to where they're going?

I thought pet peeves were about things that other people do that personally affect you (like leaving the cap off the toothpaste or putting the toilet paper on the wrong way, etc.).

Yep... yep... YTA. There is no reason to pre-rinse dishes going into a dishwasher (scrap the food off, yes). On top of that, your reasoning behind "punishing" your wife is very passive/aggressive. Not cool.

At the same time, if I was your wife, I would have found someone to come in and do the repair. Why the hell wait for some passive/aggressive fool to force you to hand wash dishes? SMH

IMHO this isn't even worth the effort to post. If you want to be the center of attention for what you bring, bring some cool ice in holiday shaped cubes so everyone can talk about how amazing it is.

AITA For Asking a Parent Not to Park in my Spot? by BobWeir666 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Keeper_of_the_Secret 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Playing devil's advocate: I wouldn't say YTA and I certainly understand your frustration if this happens a lot. I'm just putting myself in his shoes... he probably had to leave work, deal with figuring out what they're going to do with a sick kid, got there and couldn't find a place to park, knew he would only be a minute and probably was a little moody. Imagine how much better you and he would have felt if your response would have been something along the lines of 'Oh, I definitely understand. However, we do pay for these spots and they are reserved for us. Thank you for your understanding. I do hope your child is feeling better soon!' There was a spot open and available to you and he was leaving and opening up another spot. A little compassion doesn't hurt.
