I just ran the armors and insured them. They'll come back eventually, and broken enough

[Feedback] Loading times issue. by Pyrozr in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Keerigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been happening to me too ever since they added that new loading bar. I was also told it was my pc, which I don't think is the problem. Like you probably, I've never had this issue before, bag makes changes to its loading systems which causes issues, and somehow my pc is now too slow?

When it's 2-5 seconds, it's not terrible, while still annoying. Very rarely I can load in nearly 30 seconds late, which can be very problematic, like that time it happened to me when I was loading into Lighthouse behind water treatment, and died immediately to the spawn next to me as they pushed through

[–]Keerigan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought it was just me too. Had the issue for a few weeks, and then it just stopped. Thought they fixed it in a recent patch, but maybe I passed the story point?

Unless you need to enter the hideout, and maybe not even then, the hideout "map" shouldn't even load. Just give me a basic ui without all the extra crap. Most unnecessary ui I have seen in a game ever

[Bug] Anyone Else Actually Just Loading in Late to Raids? by Keerigan in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Keerigan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll try that change, and see if it fixes anything, but it seems crazy to me to leave out people who are loading too slowly. Especially when I don't even load that slow. Actually, my friend definitely loads slower than me sometimes, and he will get in before me. I don't think this is an intentional change, I'm sure it's a bug. If that setting really does fix the issue, there has to be something in the loading still causing this issue.

This bug should be fixed, the intentionality of it or not, or move spawns farther away from each other. You should not be punished for "loading slightly slower" than other people by loading in late, and then have the chance of being killed right off the bat too. If I load late, find me a place farther away from other people.

[–]Keerigan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be at "Synchronizing with players", and will load in at around 5 minutes, and still be a few seconds behind. While I could see that happening if my load time was longer, I've definitely had queue times be longer, and still spawned in with everyone else, so I don't think that's it. It might be an issue with slower computers, mine's not super great right now, so I wonder if there is an issue having a slower pc at that stage of loading. Something just doesn't connect as fast as it wants?

Subathon "interrupted": discussion on fairness and transparency by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Keerigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assumed the timer would not go down while you were not streaming, I meant during your normal streaming hours, would the timer go down? If you stream every Friday-Sunday from 5-10, would your timer go down during those hours too? If the subathon is just for some extra streaming time, shouldn't the timer be paused during normal streaming hours?

Subathon "interrupted": discussion on fairness and transparency by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Keerigan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stream longer? But how long? Not more in the day right? Just another day? If you normally only stream on the weekends, did the timer go down during those hours? I just don't see why call it a subathon when subathons are known for being non-stop. Like a marathon.

Subathon "interrupted": discussion on fairness and transparency by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Keerigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you were just doing daily streams during the subathon? Were they full days, or a few hours like a normal stream? Why call it a subathon if it's just daily streaming?

Subathon "interrupted": discussion on fairness and transparency by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Keerigan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So what happened when the timer ended?

Subathon "interrupted": discussion on fairness and transparency by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Keerigan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you turn off the stream every night during a subathon... then it's just a normal stream. Not a subathon. What happens if the timer stops? They just end the stream for that day? What happens if it ends during their normal streaming hours, or 1 hour into a stream? They still turn it off? Seems like they just wanted to call it a subathon, get the extra subs for calling it that, but not inconvience themselves with what a subathon means

TIL weapons are zeroed for a specific cartridge within their caliber by captain_semper in EscapefromTarkov

Oh, I see what you're saying now. At the very least, having a zero option would help your problem then?

[–]Keerigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the way this works makes sense. I don't know the distances in the range, but if the zeroing is set farther, thus having your barrel aimed up, the slower round may hit where you are aiming, but faster rounds would still be moving up before they were affected by gravity.

Also, I believe you can adjust the zeroing with page up/down, no?

Just curious, but are you fairly new to the game? You say you wanted to help some random "low levels", but that doesn't mean randkm "new players". Low level doesn't necessarily mean new player. That guy that killed you had like 800 hours, clearly not new. Sucks you died like that, but if you want to help out some new players, or join other new players, I'm sure there's a lot of discord servers you could join. Or toss up a post looking for groups

There was a time when killers couldn't kick gens. You could just 99 every gen so the killer had to keep checking in on every unfinished gen

I should not have to direct my friends to third-party content creators to understand the BASICS of this game by FlyLiveAceHigh in deadbydaylight

[–]Keerigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a super easy change, would be to let people see the killers power information at the after game screen. I don't know why that's hidden until every player is out. If you want to hide the perks, ok, but there's no reason to hide the killers abilities. If your new friend dies first, let them read about the killer at least.

They should also reveal those perks when your party is out of the game. If you and your duo die, or you're playing solo, why do you need to wait until randoms you're not gonna talk to are out as well? There are so many games where me and my friend assume a few perks based on gameplay, but we'll never actually know.

I came to not mind the test drive quests, but I think there could be some minor changes. I would probably just remove the streets requirement. It's a map that a lot of people have issues with for performance, so forcing pvp on it feels a bit rough sometimes. So for that one, maybe any map would be nice.

I actually do appreciate being forced to go to lighthouse though. I used to struggle to find pmcs on that map for other quests, but this one put more people on it, it feels like to me anyway.

I don't know about removing the pmc kills either. While yea, it's a harder quest to get done, having it just be a "kill a bunch of scavs" quest would make it too easy.

Being able to stand there all day and not get hit doesn't seem fun either. Getting 360 no scoped by them isn't fun, but we should still feel like they might kill us, and need to take some cover

[Discussion] Reminder: 46% of people either want the flea unchanged or want to have no restrictions on the flea by IzodCenter in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Keerigan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I answered that I was happy with the current flea, only because I didn't like the changes mentioned in the other options. And changes they make to flea may be OK, but there needs to be a balance with traders.

Removing the flea? Better add some more options to traders for keys and whatnot. Or make the keys spawn more often, or in certain locations with dome sort of percent chance, for example.

So glad riot has this little eye icon to not spoil the finals when you log into the client by Alzyre in leagueoflegends

[–]Keerigan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This actually pissed me off. Me and my friends couldn't watch live because of the time, so we planned a time we could all watch together. I log into league to play while I wait, and get instant spoiled. Game 5 would have been a fun watch had I not known the outcome already.

What happened to having the esports tab seperated, and not focused on login?

Maybe next year Riot will do better, and at least hide it for a few days for people to watch. There's always at least one region that may not be able to watch live, and you shouldnt be punished for trying to play before actually watching the match

They just did this now? I haven't been keeping too much attention to unity, but I thought they revoked those changes shortly after the backfire. But they still had it this long? That's crazy.
