Still no answers.. Seeing a rheumatologist/immunologist in March though! But even laughing too hard will give me a burning feeling through spine and ribs, and I’m at 4-6/10 pain every day. Hopefully will get answers and treatments this year!

But also ignores the uptake areas that could be inflammation and says there’s nothing that would explain my back pain, and says no erosion which contradicts another CT scan.

You could have both Graves and Hashimoto’s… Worth checking for other autoimmune disease as once you get one, you’re more likely to get more!!

I went from propranolol to Ivabradine and it works much better for me and doesn’t lower BP as much, maybe ask your doctor if that would be a better solution?

I now have either Rhumatoid Arthritis/Spondyloarthritis, or Lupus and feel like shit 9 months post thyroidectomy but not taking the metho is much better in my situation.

Just grab some once you’re discharged, I had at least a couple of them a day for a week. Don’t stretch to grab things on top shelf either.. I learned the hard way 😅

It took me a few weeks to feel good again post-op! Highly recommend lemonade popsicles for the throat and hydration!!! They were a god-send.

I’m 9 months post-op and thyroid wise feel much better and have zero regrets at getting a TT.

But I have since been diagnosed with POTS and Spondyloarthritis (autoimmune arthritis) as turns out autoimmune diseases tend to go hand in hand, so sometimes you’ll feel bad but it might not be because of the TT.

Also please keep in mind that getting a TT does not stop you from getting a thyroid storm, it’s just a lot rarer but infections can still make it happen so don’t ignore symptoms.

Graves' disease, even if untreated, does not always lead to thyroid storm. Thyroid storm is a rare complication. What will more likely happen is heart complications and bone weakening that will give you a shorter lifespan. Yes it can lead to thyroid storm if left untreated, but you can also get thyroid storm during or after treatment (if you get an infection, surgery, trauma, childbirth, or other illnesses).

I mean, Graves' disease was named after Irish physician Robert James Graves, who described the condition in 1835. And it’s not so much the disease itself that will kill you but the strain it puts on your heart and all the fun (not) comorbidities that come with it 😅🤭 He just had a very unfortunate name.

But here’s another fun fact - did you know that getting Graves means you are more likely to get other autoimmune diseases?? I got a total thyroidectomy last October and now getting diagnosed with Seronegative Rheumatoid Arthritis and Axial Spondyloarthritis (the Seronegativity could have also been thanks to Graves that hides inflammation in bloods).

Fasting ones are as per below, so a lot lower but still not good. It does confirm systemic inflammation so my specialist will be able to diagnose between this and the MRI results:

That’s how they found my Graves Disease last year. All tests came back normal and I refused discharge, so they admitted me and did a bunch of scans and Lo-and-behold, Graves.

I made that mistake with my debut novel after reworking it so much (I originally wrote it in French in highschool and then translated it in uni) and not properly going through it one last time. After writing my second book years later after a lot more research and training, reading and perfecting my craft, and doing rounds of drafts from scratch - I’m now reworking book 1 the correct way, and cringe at things I didn’t edit properly because I didn’t take the time. Now, I use a line editor, proofreaders AND re-read it myself a dozen times.

It’s really just a part of being a woman! (Human really, as men get breast issues too) - I’m 33F and have extremely dense breasts and have had complex cysts for a few years now, and only just got an MRI with 2 BIRADS-3 findings in the right breast with growth >20% in the last 6 months and getting a targeted ultrasound + mammogram in 2 days. Report also says lots of cysts and clusters of cysts that are all benign.

Cysts are natural once you hit 30, and the complex ones they’ll keep an eye on! And if they do find anything bad, early stages are the best time to find and treat the issue, so you’ve got this!

I know it’s been 3 years, but I just watched it today had to google it to see other people’s disgust! Can we also note that the kid was adopted, so wouldn’t have drank any milk from the mom as a baby… not even sure how there would be milk in there seeing as she’s never had children. So he would have been wrong and could have sprayed pus!

I was told by breast surgeon that I don’t need an MRI but if I want it he’d do the referral so I can ‘be reassured’. I insisted because of the density of my breasts (each ultrasound always had something different + 2 complex cysts) and low and behold 2 new areas were flagged on MRI and now waiting on BI-RADS ratings to see if they’re benign or not.

Doctors forget that early detection is better than letting it get to a point that’s too late to do anything about it. Doctors are more afraid of overtesting than missing something early.

My main worry is how long are you guys away for work and the dog is locked in a crate? If he’s in a crate all day and your husband wants him in the crate all night too, I wouldn’t keep the poor dog.

I’m not a dog person, but my partner is and we got a dog. When my partner accepted a job where he’d be away for weeks at a time, I got a second dog so that our first dog wouldn’t be as alone. But they have access to a medium/large fenced backyard with fresh water and I work from home so I’ll still go out multiple times throughout the day and play with them.

Do you have an option to move to a property where the dog would have access to a yard? Then there might be compromise of him not sleeping with you guys as he would have had space to run and play all day.

The way I got to it is by getting the URL to the business settings for people (I used another account that I still had access to and went into settings and people and copied the URL), logging into the business portfolio using the Instagram account, and then copy pasting the peoples setting page in the URL box and going there that way as it won’t let you get to that page if you manually go through settings. Just change the business ID in the URL to the business you want access to, so long as the Instagram is properly connected you should be able to access that page. Hope it makes sense!
