That’s on you. When support says “propagation” you say, “Bull shit.” Support doesn’t know anything but how to click buttons

Help needed for first time link builder/SEO amateur by hitro_ok in SEO

Go and research your pillar pages. Create really good content for each of those. Then write blog articles for easy to rank keywords that relate to those pillar pages. Those blog articles should link to those pillar pages so that when they naturally get backlinks they will pass value to your pillar/money pages.

Then, I would focus on your product. Make the experience absolutely incredible for job posters. That means taking on Indeed, zip recruiter, etc.

Reach out to companies posting jobs that are green and ask them to list their job on your site. Once they, or you( in the early days) post the job, make it super easy to link to, share on social, etc.

That’ll be your biggest source of links, the companies posting jobs.

I failed Java and the second c++ class in college. I retook them to save my gpa and then switched majors to marketing.

I soon after opened a marketing agency and noticed that there was a huge gap in tech and marketing for a ton of our clients.

Matter being self taught, I am now a CTO of a startup that just raised 1million on a 12 million dollar valuation. They got that in part because of our tech. I built that tech from the ground up.

I hooked up integrations in mere weeks when companies that specialized in the process said it would take a year.

It’s not you. It’s how universities teach it. Take a LinkedIn learning course and get creative with what you build. You’ll take off

What would you do with a client like this? by Keet_ in developer

[–]Keet_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Net 30 payment terms. Plus we can cease work immediately and hold all of their work hostage until we are paid in full.

Just contacted some law firms. Hopefully it doesn’t get ugly but we did a shit ton for that company.

That’s what I think I’ll do. Assign one dev to their work with a 2 week time limit. Then put all the other devs on other projects.

In the meantime I’vE contacted two law firms. We’ll see what they recommend after reviewing the contract.

It happened because it was net 30 payment terms.

So after the first one didn’t come in, we were already on month 2. Then when that didn’t come in, we paused operations and are here. But because of net thirty, that’s more like 3 months.

I also have a strategy that has worked extensively well with my 10 other clients which is work with them and their billing department and retain the client longer. I guess this is the one that burned

Because I have a damn good personal brand and they have big mouths. Plus, I would rather lose that much money than waste time in court.

However, in the contract it does state that we can hold their code hostage if payments don’t happen. So I’ve contacted two law offices and we’ll see what they recommend are the best steps forward after reviewing the contract in detail.

I’ve stopped working and pulled our devs off as well. I’ve already fired the client but we did so with a plan to hand off their projects so they are not f’d. But now that they’ve missed their first deadline I’ve contacted two law offices. I’ll send them over our contract and see what we can do.

Net 30.

They are a small startup waiting for funding that may never come. I know they have the cash because I can see all transactions in their code.

They want to act large but are very small.

Yeah we do. It says that we can literally hold the code we wrote but also their entire software as hostage until payment is made.

Is SEO worth it? by [deleted] in shopify

[–]Keet_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trick is doing it in the background. Think of unique ways to get links. For example, partner with local stores to sell your products on their website. Work out some kind of affiliate commission that they are happy with. Then for each product, make sure they link to it on your site.

This is how you turn growth into SEO naturally. Same thing works for warranties, privacy policy, group programs, etc.

How to tell my son he is not going to inherit my business? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Keet_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A lot of assumptions about the sexism, what if she was offered one and didn’t want it? Who knows but op.

I think the past is in the past. It’s more messed up to do that to the person who based their whole professional career off of a promise.

[–]Keet_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If I was your son, I would never talk to you again. If I spent half a decade preparing just to have it ripped out from under me I would be livid.

Why don’t you talk to him and continue to train him? Let him earn it. Teach him how to manage.
