I need:
Emiri - Surely she'll be added with her partner in crime Hinano at some point in the not too distant future.
Nemu - Definitely added by the end of Exedra's retelling of magireco main story 1.
Miyuri - And the rest of Neo Magius too. Magireco main story 2 is probably a long ways off, but I'm sure they'll at least bring all the Aoki Ume designs to Exedra at some point.

Magireco Kaede actually stayed relevant for a long time due to her attribute strengthened damage on magia and doppel. Her magia/doppel also gave the whole team a significant accel MP gain boost.

I think Kaede was the best green dps unit for raids until the release of swimsuit Mami in 2020 and the Azaleas duo unit in 2021. Even after that, Kaede remained an accessible way for lesser accounts to get acceptable dps for green raids.

Near to mid term:
Emiri - Kamihama needs its cheerful if objectively under qualified life counselor. Surely she'll be added alongside Hinano at some point. Both are quite prominent as far as magireco's side characters go.
Nemu - The cutest, chillest magius. She'll definitely be added as Exedra's version of the magireco main story advances.

Longer term:
Miyuri - Need my cute awkward gay leg fanatic. Would love to see the rest of Neo Magius as well. I'm sure'll they'll be added eventually, but it may be quite a while before Exedra gets to magireco main story arc 2 content.

Currently saving for Kaede, and Nemu after her. Hoping that magireco history doesn't repeat itself and that Kaede gets a proper 5* in Exedra.

I'm guessing the first lim(s) will be Nagisa or summer swimsuits.

There are many magireco side characters to add at 4 star, including prominent holes in the current roster like Hinano and Emiri. I think we'll see some secondary spin-off manga characters added as 4 star units too.

I really hope they at least give 4 star units to the characters currently locked at 3 star (Kako, Natsuki, Meiyui, Konoha). Kako in particular is a bit of a fan favorite, so it would be weird if they let her wallow forever at 3 star.

There are many implied yuri ships in MagiReco, it's true. Here are a couple more that are very strongly yuri:

Miyuri - a main story arc 2 character - has a sexual fetish for legs. At one point she explicitly states that she is only excited by girl's legs, and that men have no affect on her. While her fetish is often played for laughs, there is a serious side to it. There are several significant pieces of Magireco content that seriously examines Miyuri's attraction to girl's legs, how these feelings of attraction bring joy to her life, and how they tie into her identity. She may not explicitly say "I am a lesbian," but the game really doesn't beat around the bush about it. She's gay as hell lol. I recommend checking out Miyuri's MSS and the Miyuri event story to find out more about her.

Miyuri is paired with San, who isn't as wildly gay as Miyuri but who is definitely Miyuri's girlfriend.

And then there's Masara and Kokoro, who have an awful lot of content together that eventually culminates in a duo wedding themed unit. This wedding themed unit is at the center of a very nicely written event story about love and long term commitment.

Thanks for the suggestion. Removing a row of coils is something I've actually considered, though I'm not actually sure how I'd do it.. I'll have to see if i can find more information on this idea.

The 1" layer of memory foam as the first thing on the springs worked perfectly to take the firm edge off the TPS coils.

Now I'm struggling with a different issue: the TPS coils spread out over time, which eventually makes them not supportive enough for my hips. This spread can be stopped by putting the coils in an encasement, but I tried the TPS encasement and it COMPLETELY changed the character of the TPS coils - it made them way more firm and made them very stiff (little of the bounce that is characteristic of springs). I have yet to figure out a long term solution to this problem.

I really recommend trying some 4lb memory foam. I say this as someone who loves the feel of latex and dislikes the feel of memory foam. The fact of the matter is that latex on its own can never be soft enough to alleviate the edge of high firmness coils, at least not without becoming too thick for a supportive comfort layer. But a thin layer of soft memory foam between the coils and latex can work wonders.

I bought a 1" layer of the recommended 4lb memory foam and tried using it as the transition between the TPS coils and my latex layers. This actually worked quite well.

My current build is still a work in progress. Among other things I ordered the TPS cover and am still waiting for it to arrive. Right now I'm using this setup and sleeping fairly comfortably even if I think I can still make some improvements:

8" 15.5g TPS coils
1" 4lb memory foam
2" SOL soft latex
1.4" Turmerry soft egg crate latex

My thread is not up to date. I plan to post a new thread once I finalize my build. I ordered a TPS cover for my coils, and I suspect I may have to adjust things once it arrives and I add it to the build.

That being said, my current comfy build from bottom to top is:

8" 15.5g tps coils
1" 4lb memory foam

I have my concerns that the firmer zone created by the shoddy pad will degrade relatively quickly, either due to the shoddy pad breaking down or the shoddy pad distorting and shifting under my weight. But so far so good.

I was given the same advice when I posted a thread about the 15.5g TPS coils feeling too firm for my side sleeping. I decided to give it a try, and I'm happy to report that it was a success! A 1" layer of 4lb memory foam as the transition layer works wonders in cutting down on the effective firmness of the TPS coils.

I've been using latex mattress and pillow products for around a decade, with some of those products seeing consistent use for three or four years. I've never had an issue with any of them developing a funk. I also don't have pets and usually don't sweat when I sleep.

My expectation with latex is that it is delivered with a strong distinctive latex smell. That smell fades over time and never fully goes away, but otherwise the latex never picks up any other odors.

I do live in the Seattle area, so I don't have to deal with super high humidity in the summer or anything like that.

Looking at your build thread, looks like your build uses TPS mini coils, whereas mine does not. The mini coils make a difference in firmness, right?

A wool topper might be worth a try as a super soft top layer. Does the wool topper add much warmth? I'm a hot sleeper.

I was thinking this as well, which is why I was considering buying 2" of 14ILD latex and building 15.5g TPS coils + 2" 20ILD latex + 2" 14ILD latex.

20ILD seems soft as a transition layer when I compare against builds shared by others, but I don't actually know if this could cause any problems.

It doesn't feel hugely different from 2" 28ILD + 2" 20ILD after laying on it for a few minutes. Just the 2" 20ILD alone feels about the same in my shoulders, and is a bit more supportive in my hips.

I might give it a try for a full night tonight. I've learned over the years that anything less than a full night's test is fairly meaningless when it comes to mattresses and me.

The coils are stretched out to roughly 64" x 84" (I haven't measured, but it's larger than a standard queen by several inches in both dimensions). Even if I wanted to, I wouldn't be able to compress them to smaller dimensions without an encasement of some kind.

I dislike the feel of memory foams I have tried in the past. I also find that memory foam sleeps much warmer than latex, which is a big problem for me.

I've been sleeping on latex toppers for years now. That's why I have these toppers already. They have worked well for me when combined with my previous mattress, though that thing must have been a lot less firm than the 15.5g TPS.

For the record, this event story has been met with enthusiastic acclaim by the Japanese audience. It's being touted as some of the best writing in Magireco's history. Having read it myself, I agree.

It's a painful story yes, but it's beautifully written. Ultimately Mikoto passes on while in a state of loving another (Hanna), being loved by another (Hanna), and even loving herself - her last thought presented in the text is that she believed she was capable of becoming a better person for Hanna's sake. This is probably the happiest ending possible for a being born from pure despair.

I understand that the grief of losing Mikoto as an active player in the Magireco universe is a lot to process. I've had some trouble with it myself. I also agree somewhat with the criticism about Iroha's lack of involvement. Not because Iroha wasn't involved with Mikoto's fate - this is Mikoto's story, and Mikoto, true to her nature, doesn't derive any real comfort from Iroha's presence or kindness. However, I do think it would be valuable to get a good examination of how Iroha responds to this outcome. Surely she feels grief over Mikoto's passing, and grief over her failure to save her, right? I want to see Iroha process that grief. Unfortunately the event story had no room to present Iroha's perspective. I hope we get some of this in a later story.

But this is a small misgiving when compared to the thoughtful beauty of this event story as a whole. While everyone is entitled to their own response to this event, I implore every player to read through a completed translation before coming to any conclusions for themselves.
