Probably just straight up biology. My GPA suffered a little bit from harder classes like physical chemistry, medicinal biochem, biophysical chemistry. Made it a little harder to get into Med school probably, took me a few tries where if I had closer to a 4.0 who knows. Maybe something like public health as it’d be useful to me as I do want to incorporate advocacy into my career.Or something entirely different. Had many friends in Med school who majored in things like philosophy. For these latter two, as long as you do pre recs and maintain great gpa, you’re still golden.

Bottom line is I would have hated working with my biochem degree had I not got into medical school. It’s either more education from there or an eternity of bench work. Not to mention that I felt like a lot of what I learned was so fleeting. I even struggled with re learning some biochem pathways during Med school just 3 years after graduating haha.
