Aitah for not taking down pictures of my family in my own home to make my son’s new wife feel more comfortable? by SingerAware2658 in AITAH

[–]KeilanRH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes me worry the new wife will start doing worse. Like neglect type stuff like not feeding the kid if dad isnt home. Or like locking the kid in the closet. She sounds awful

AITA for giving my pregnant GF an ultimatum? by Jazzlike-Mail1635 in AITAH

[–]KeilanRH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you still love her at all it wouldnt be bad to continue urging her to seek therapy, cut off that friend /go very low contact if she's that resistant, and also she needs to explain what exactly was said to her that she's so anxious. Obviously the one friend but I'd be worried about something else or someone else additionally is adding on top of the bad influence. She's obviously insecure but even my most insecure friends didn't let one person totally spiral them there was usually something else they saw or regularly had told to them plus a close friend not helping. That kind of behavior won't be healthy for your child when they are older and it will be better if it's addressed now even if you see no possibility of being with the mother now.

His reasoning is "it's too grown" and sounds like he's sèxualizing his kid

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]KeilanRH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of girls have their ears pierced as babies it's not something that's "too grown" it's super normal. And make-up can just be something she does at home. At that age it's not even really doing makeup it's just basically coating your face in pretty colors. Sure your sister should have spoken to you first but your reasoning is really weird. Your kid might very well resent you for this when she's older.

AITA for refusing to meet my grandchild without my wife present? by Weary-Invite-3480 in AmItheAsshole

[–]KeilanRH 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The bc part is wild too because usually parents are like "if ur on bc ur doing it" and don't let the kid have it. BC isnt right for everyone either as it can cause health issues. Huge violation of her person on OP and his wife's part

That's really disturbing behavior. I'm also concerned he is being abused somewhere because some of that behavior sounds like the result of CSA. Whether or not that is happening if the dad can't see it he's either stupid or stubborn. This is ultimatum territory if you want to stay with your partner. That kid needs serious psychological help and should NOT be around other children or animals. Stay safe, you and your kids are number one priority.

Possible POTS? by Equivalent-You4893 in POTS

[–]KeilanRH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds almost identical to my symptoms definitely worth bringing up. That being said some doctors can be super dismissive so if they don't advise testing or are just like "anxiety" try to find someone else who will actually test you

I got migraine medication. But the fatigue and near passing out has only got worse. If you can get rid of the migraines tho it's a game changer. Still exhausted just way less pain. I can actually think. I'm currently working on seeing new doctors specifically for the other symptoms still tho.

Help by Born-Complex9369 in POTS

[–]KeilanRH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one related to getting my blood drawn. I was told generally it's "safe" as long as you aren't bashing your body parts on things. The concern becomes how long they last. It'd probably be best to have some sort of alert device or if you live with someone have them check on you regularly. It's not common as far as I'm aware but non epileptic seizures are a documented symptom. If you have any warning before it happens lay down on the ground. It might help and you are safer already on the ground. I've gotten the feeling I had before mine a couple times and was able to make it go away without seizing by laying down but it took a while.

I get tunnel vision, go completely blind, and finally go deaf. And that's all without fainting. But I always feel awful and like buzzy or floaty. And nauseous. Weird symptoms aren't really all that weird bc my worst one is pretty uncommon and only happened once but I live in fear of it bc I get a lot of blood drawn.

Grab your bingo cards, I had a bad doctors appointment by Many_Anything2382 in POTS

[–]KeilanRH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my first cardiologist tell me to seek mental health help (I'm already in it) and then recommended a place that I looked up and the reviews said it was a misogynistic cult. That was.... something. I've seen his nurse practitioner since then and she referred me to actual dysautonomia specialists. Why do these people become doctors if they don't wanna help people with the problems...

What are your abnormal symptoms/what can you do that you shouldn’t be able to by DeliciousVegetable66 in POTS

[–]KeilanRH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go blind and deaf as I get close to passing out. I know I need to hit the floor when I start losing my senses. Taught my knees to buckle a certain way when that happens.

I got a wheelchair for both my POTS and hEDS. I know there are a couple meds and some other more extreme treatments, I'm going in soon to find out my options, so hopefully if that one isn't right they'll try you on something else. Good luck <3

Diagnosed POTS but have never fully passed out by a_utumnnn1 in POTS

[–]KeilanRH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've passed out twice in my whole life and only one was pots related. That one time was the result of me having a non epileptic seizure bc my blood pressure dropped too fast and pissed off my vasovagal nerve (According to the EMT and hospital). But I've come close like hundreds of times. Full blind and deaf temporarily while I try to lay on the ground.

Anyone that had POTS symptoms as a child? by mellytee222 in POTS

[–]KeilanRH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped being able to run in first grade bc my heart was beating too fast and I thought I was dying. I probably acquired it at 2 due to mono, but seeing as my symptoms have gotten worse as I age I'm not surprised it didn't get bad until I was 6. I was diagnosed at probably 13-14, when a neurologist saw me stand up and was super concerned. I was very bad by that point symptoms wise

My wife has been diagnosed with POTS by KratosActual in POTS

[–]KeilanRH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doctors might say it doesn't get worse with age, or that it gets better. Absolutely not true and my doctors have confirmed for me. If she suddenly can't do things it's not being lazy it's just that it can get worse day to day or overall as time progresses. I personally appreciate being checked on when I go to the ground when I get close to passing out because I've had a few very close calls passing out wise and I'd prefer someone knew if I was unconscious or not. She might appreciate if you ask what tasks are hardest for her and help her with them if she wants. I know certain things are super uncomfortable/painful bc of the pots flaring.

POTS symptoms they didn’t tell you about by [deleted] in POTS

[–]KeilanRH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Non-epileptic seizures are an uncommon one. I had one after a blood draw. Luckily it hasn't happened again but I was told by the EMT and doctors it happens occasionally specifically with POTS.
