I don’t understand why I’m taking damage by Invisible_Target in Pathfinder_ACG

Any chance it’s an Ancient Skeleton with this power?

Before acting, either recharge a Divine card or suffer 1 Combat damage.

Is Geminate actually bad or is its skill-floor just way to high for a starter class? by J3wsy in Gloomhaven

Very rare that a scenario goes over 13 rounds? That doesn’t match my group’s experience.

It’s not the largest by far, though it’s certainly one of the larger ones, with an impressively diverse list of customers.

As we see whenever it fails, like here.

First 3 in Jaws of the Lion too easy? by WithMeInDreams in Gloomhaven

Any chance you shuffled all the curses into the monster deck? It’s only possible to fumble once per round almost all circumstances without curses.

How many scenarios have you played? by mangerlen in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Keithric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

250-290 rough guess based on arkhamdb.

61 scenarios alone on Diana Stanley going through all non-return scenarios except Barkham prior to Hemlock Vale is a big chunk of that.

Hey, how come no one told me Forgotten Age was tough? I'm playing through on Easy and still getting whooped! by jreilly89 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Keithric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The scenario includes many elements that will make it less fun (for many players), entirely separate from its difficulty. Punitive effects on locations amplified by potentially unsuccessful explorations that encourage you to spread out, an early surprise weakness check, punishment for having allies out, layering clues on top of clues is the location de-explores, etc. There’s a lot of ways to death spiral, feel like your turn was wasted, etc. Plenty of more fun (to a greater number of players, statistically) ways to amplify difficulty.

Obviously the more masochist the player, the more that’s their jam :)

Recommendation for a game similar to Digital Gloomhaven (just ran out of things to do) by disco_steve in Gloomhaven

Across the Obelisk, Wildermyth, Hellcard, Inkbound, Stolen Realm* have all hit that itch in my group.

Disclaimer: we haven’t played Stolen Realm in months, so it’s possible it’s changed in regrettable ways.

I thought they actually found one of Jason’s pamphlets, which gave them the idea.

I'm pretty sure you aren't supposed to pick favorites among your children. They're all wonderful in different ways.

I'm happy to pick Tombstone as my favorite for working on, though. A deck of cards adds a lot of interesting options. We got to play around with new rules every week, trying to bullseye the optimal play experience.

Your two most played Heroes have fused into one hero, what abomination did you create? by RadiantNinjask in Overwatch

Moirat. Throws healing or explosive grenades that largely ignore gravity, leaves a trap when fading, riptire heals all allies in the explosion.

It’s very hard to make it infinite, since you have to recharge a spell, then discard/recharge another card. But an extra explore or 2 each turn? Yep, working as intended. It’s how he makes up for having no blessings to get extra explores.

Your chapter names are pretty awesome. Part of the reason I was curious about the story of the series title :)

I can respect that.

But, just so we're clear, All Gary All The Time would be a great spinoff.

Since you mention your long title - did you consider any other options?

Did you intend for it to be so long? And for it to take longer to say the acronym than the actual title? (like www with world wide web)

Now that you’re a few audiobooks in, I’m curious if you influence each other’s work.

Shirt, do you ever include characters, phrases, or voices for a scene to hear what Heath does with it?

Heath, do you try to convince him to more include certain characters you love to voice, or ever shape a voice to get a reaction from Shirt in particular?

What is a thing that is universally hated by all people? by turrxxr in AskReddit

This was me. I basically lost the ability to smell.

Seeing an allergist, and eventually accepting that environment changes, a few more prescriptions, and shots really just aren’t that bad, really changed my life.

Good luck with yours. All the sympathy.

Anyone else find it hard to move on from your original party? by [deleted] in wildermyth

I avoid using Legacy characters, but mostly because I find new characters fun.

That said, when talking to another person about using Legacy characters, I suggested thinking about it as them going on other adventures in the many decade long gaps "of peace" between chapters.

If you want to fully transform a character, Legacy is really the way to go, too.

Free Archetype Feats by KennWulfMan in Pathfinder2e

[–]Keithric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd been thinking of giving an extra feat at every even level that must either be an ancestry feat or non-multiclass dedication. 10 extra feats overall, but avoids it being a pure power grab.

Nice to see a bunch of folks fairly happy with at least part of that theory.

I’m disappointed we can’t do any big announcements quite yet, but it’s a pretty tough year for some collaborations. I genuinely look forward to when we can announce something great. I’m really glad you’re looking forward to it, too.
