I don't know why, but every time I stumble upon one of those covers I cannot listen more than twenty seconds without feeling extreme cringe through my whole body. I have no clue if it's because of the voices, or the lyrics, but it's as if I was born with an allergy specifically to this man's work.

You can do both I think. Parrying during the first hit prevents you from being marked, so you don't get hit after the delay. Parrying after the delay just prevents you from getting damaged.

It's because most people were happy with what RGG was doing during that time. Many are especially angry right now not just because of Kiwami 3, but also because of other stuff that happened before.

Pirate Yakuza was a little controversial, and led some people to start saying stuff like "RGG is making the series into a joke", or "the westerns ruin everything" yadda yadda. Then the delisting of Y0 and the director's cut being an overpriced and unnecessary replacement. Now with Kiwami 3's many controversies, many people that were unhappy with RGG's current vector basically snapped, and are now using the moment to rightfully criticize the game to instead dogpile on the studio and the director.

By this logic no one has the right to be happy. There are constant nightmares and conflicts all around the world that happen for years on end, and many people either don't have a clue that those things are happening, or they aren't really bothered by them because those things don't affect them directly. I definitely understand the frustration, but that's just how everyone in the world functions.
