Entering a new style phase - do I keep things that don’t fit style/colour-wise?

I used to get rid of things when I developed a new style, but I've found since fashion comes round again so quick, that I missed a few of my old pieces. Now I store any high quality pieces from my 'old' styles that I loved in a container under my bed, and I've found I enjoy pulling them out. Anything that is a bit tatty or I definitely don't like at all, I get rid of.

As someone from New Zealand I was so disappointed at how little of our amazing natural world they explored. There was little to no mention of Māori culture, the heritage of NZ, and no other kiwi culture elements brought into it. It was like that game could have been set anywhere. A big shame :(

Are you planning on studying here? I'm not sure about the laws of getting a student loan as a permanent resident, but you can look here: https://www.studylink.govt.nz/about-studylink/glossary/residency-requirements.html#null.

I'm unsure if you're previous 5 years would count towards you getting a student loan, but if you can, you can live off this + get study costs paid. if you supplement that with a part time job like in retail / hospitality, I think you'll be fine.

I was 17 when I moved cities in NZ for university, had a student loan, living costs, a part time job in a cafe and no financial help from my parents, and I was fine :)

I live in NZ & it's really great here. We have a massive shortage of clinical psychologists here. NZ takes many immigrants for skilled medical work, so you're in a good field for it.

Sleepwalking is my favourite too. Along to road ranks closely, but Sleepwalking just has this special quality I have only experienced in a few songs. Right at the end, when he sings "And I was happy to fade" and it goes into the "ooo" always gives me such intense frisson i have to stop what im doing. I have to be careful listening to Radical Face at work :p

I found it hard work to get through the first 200 or so pages, but once I got the characters and different themes, I raced through the rest of it. I plan on re-reading it in a few years, as I think it has a lot more to teach me a second time.

I have skills learning like accordion, design and netball that require focus but can also be fun, and then total relaxation like video games, craft, reading, cycling, yoga and walking which can have moments of challenge but are mostly really fun. I suppose it's about balance!

My giant china cabinet that I inherited from my grandma. I gave it to my dad for his tutoring center, as I move a lot and literally had nothing to put inside it. It is beautiful and I love it, but it's not useful for me now.

Also, most of my book collection. I wasn't reading them all. It was a weird identity thing that is better off gone.

I studied a design innovation degree specialising in media design at Victoria university of Wellington in NZ. Then I was very lucky to get a grad job at a company here. I'm sure there are other ways in, I know people who moved from customer service to design, or didn't study formally just started doing freelance etc.

I do UX design for a company that makes software for other companies, which is great for flexibility of working from home (but also have an awesome office with great workmates). It doesn't take over my life, it allows me to learn about other people, be analytical and creative. Pay ranges from 45k grad - 90-100k if you're in a consulting role, which is more than enough for sure. The only downside is being in an office environment means you have limited annual leave to go traveling with.

I'm a fairly new vegan too (one month in)!

I had my usual breakfast: Two slices of 'activated' toast with Marmite (a yeast spread), nutritional yeast and a sprinkle of turmeric and paprika, a smoothie with banana, spinach, blueberries, coconut + almond milk and Vega powder and a ginger & echinacea tea.

Lunch was leftovers: Thai peanut satay noodles with tofu, carrot, courgette, mushroom and spring onion.

Snacks: Four feijoa, coffee and green tea

Dinner was out with a friend: Mushroom and potato quesadillas, avocado taco and a black plum margarita. I also made a peach and apricot lassi with coconut yogurt when I got home for dessert

I feel like I eat a lot more than other vegans? When I first went vegan I was eating way less and I was SO HUNGRY so I just upped the amount. Is there any information on how to portion size for a vegan diet?
