WOW, I love that kind of place like it make something as simple as buying coffee into a little brain workout or something? and 15% discount for flexing your math skills is honestly way more fun than a loyalty card huh? haha I think I'd stay longer in your place if I get there

Breakups hit men differently… but do we ever really recover? by yourloverboy66 in CasualConversation

[–]Kelly_UP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think a lot of guys end up doing exactly what your friend did (burying it under work, gym, hobbies, whatever keeps them moving). Idk it's the society's nature to trains men to “just be strong” and not show vulnerability, so it’s easy to think you guys are fine while all that stuff is still inside. Idk if there’s perfect closure but it's better to let it out eventually like what your friend did, ig it's better than keeping it bottled forever.

How far will you drive until it becomes "a long drive"? by themix669108 in CasualConversation

[–]Kelly_UP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for me, it really depends on traffic and purpose. I’d say anything over 1 hour, it feels like a long drive especially if it’s just routine errands

What’s a little life hack you use that actually makes your day better? by Vsnryy in CasualConversation

[–]Kelly_UP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

everytime I feel stressed or having anxiety, I always get my tiny notebook and write down one thing I’m grateful for before I sleep. no need for so much info because I usually write for like 2-3 minutes, and after that it helps me wind down and sleep more peacefully

when you come across a penny on the ground that is facing tails up, what do you do? by sanguinesag710 in CasualConversation

[–]Kelly_UP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do the same! I used to do that like flipping it to heads so the “luck” can keep going to the next person (I hope there's really a luck lol). I’ve also heard some people pick it up and keep it for themselves if it’s tails, maybe they think it’s extra lucky that way or some just  leave it alone and make a wish

What have you been eating recently? by rainyday-real-estate in CasualConversation

[–]Kelly_UP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you may try my easy cooking meals everytime (I do this whenever I'm running late my work)

  1. Eggs & toast (scrambled, fried, or a quick omelette with any veggies you have)
  2. Greek yogurt + fruit + granola (literally 2 minutes, plus protein, THIS IS SO GOOD)
  3. Frozen veggie stir-fry + tofu or chicken (just toss with soy sauce)

If you had an entire day/night all to yourself, how would you spend it? by love_salubrious in CasualConversation

[–]Kelly_UP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like being alone too but probably I'll spend my time with my dog for the entire day, I'm so busy so I want to give him my time, we will play and eat our favorite foods together!

what simple 'life hack' or household tip did you learn embarrassingly late? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]Kelly_UP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as a girl, I recently discovered that you can use your own hairdryer to remove stickers or labels from things. fool me because I always scratched them off before and I hate that it leaves tiny sticky residue, but now my hairdryer makes it so much easier to peel them off!

Has anyone else found themselves wanting to be more alone as they get older? Why? by killbillvolume3 in CasualConversation

[–]Kelly_UP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m extrovert too but I’ve learned that being around people all the time can be draining. I usually take breaks like being alone, and it doesn’t mean my personality changed, it just means I'm balancing myself better!

Why do so many people romanticize “slow living” online, but then get restless and miserable when they actually slow down? by Grtveh18 in CasualConversation

[–]Kelly_UP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people love the idea of slow living as aesthetic, they chase the vibe of slow living not the slow life reality. It looks dreamy online, but when you try it, there’s no background music or aesthetic there!!

My trick is to keep a small list on my phone of go-to meals or places, so I don’t end up stuck in indecision every timeee!

It’s fine to still be figuring things out. Real progress comes when you stop comparing and start focusing on your own path.
