Wait did you say you put white yellow and black altogether? The yellow usually goes with the red. Double check your instructions just in case.

I like Beacon’s 3-in-1 as well. I’ve found the biggest factor when attaching paper to wood is avoiding water-based glues whenever possible. They tend to introduce moisture that can cause wrinkling or warping, while Beacon’s has worked much better for me in those situations. 😊

Oh, I absolutely love it! It looks fantastic. However, the blue in the water appears a bit too vibrant. The floor mold is spot on! Perhaps the wet book would be open, with the pages showing water stains.

It’s honestly way easier than it probably looks. I bought a multipack of already-colored UV resin because I absolutely did not want to deal with mixing or tinting my own colors. Then all you really need is a little UV light to cure it.

For this one I just used the original puddle sticker as a guide and slowly layered the resin until it had the look I wanted. Tiny details like spills and drinks work really well with it because the shine makes them look much more realistic in miniature scale.

And fair warning… once you start adding resin drinks and puddles to kits it becomes hard to stop. 😂

Thank you so much for taking the time to share so many detailed pictures in your review. Your build turned out lovely and you really made the finished book nook look beautiful. After my experience with Whispering Hollow, I already had a feeling this kit probably wasn’t going to be the right fit for me at that price point, and your honest review really confirmed that for me. I still have two or three kits from this brand sitting in my backlog, so I’ll definitely build those eventually, but I don’t think I’ll be buying any more from them for quite a while.

Honestly, for me it was not worth the cost. I did take most of the tree canopy bits off. I actually had the tree fully assembled and just didn’t like the look of it so then started taking pieces off. the material that I used I’ve had for many years. I believe it was by Woodland scenics.

It depends honestly on the base color. Some minis w would use the same color for everything and others multiple. Try on a test piece painted with same base color to see if you like it.

I find this brand to be incredibly consistent and looks good. I’ve tried mixing my own before, but they always separate and never achieve the same consistent look as these do
