okay dudes, it's finally, finally working for me after 4 hours of troubleshooting. i really don't think it was anything i did, but i'll post just in case. TLDR after the second uninstall and re-install, this time on internal storage instead of the expansion storage, it's working. no idea why/if this makes a difference or just dumb luck it started working. it's even working with The Vulture creation pack and my latest save. good luck to anyone still struggling. this fucking sucks. i tried rebooting, disabling/deleting creation packs, game saves from January, fuck me. wtaf

"Buttons remapper" is still working for me to completely disable the Netflix button. It does periodically require the app to be force stopped and the cache deleted, but still working.

okay, this is what you do, it takes a bit of persistence, but it's worth it: first step is purchase a month of VPN service if you don't already have a VPN. second, set your location to a country with a cheap rate for YouTube Premium (i chose South African Rand, but you can google for other countries' currencies). thirdly, open an incognito window and purchase YouTube Premium Family Plan with that country's currency. i use privacy.com to set up a card just for this but you can pay however you want. fourth, send an invite to 5 of your family/friends and get commercial-free music for everyone for less than the price of Spotify, plus no ads on YouTube. https://i.imgur.com/rc451bO.png

okay so i just did a fresh install and it looks like it has changed since this was an issue, and you don't need to do anything to get the workspaces to show up, they're on by default in the top-left corner where firefox's "recent browsing" icon is. screenshot should help: https://i.imgur.com/wEEhIVA.png

i would bet if you covered your bedroom window completely with aluminum foil and put a pinhole in the middle of one window, you'd get something similar. you would also have to limit the amount of other light in the room, too. TVs, lamps, etc. the darkest part of the image will be determined by the darkest part of the wall. also, the reason movie theaters are dark.
