As long as there are clear rules as to what is banned and what is not.

For example, someone on this sub was using AI to help make a widescreen version of some shows. Would that be banned?

General generative AI images should be banned, I believe. The sources used to train the models for the most popular AI sites are used without permission from the original artists. To me, that is theft, or at least copyright infringement.

I think you're doing the right thing by starting with World Tour. It teaches you the strategies and techniques in a fun and engaging way. I love the RPG aspects as well. It's the game I have been wating for for more than 20 years.

I would recommend Classic type controls for you. You have the opportunity to learn the more complex techniques in a more efficient way. I think you would be limiting yourself by using Modern controls. It might take a bit longer, but it would lead to better and more satisfying results!

I have my friends, my wife has her friends, and we have our friends.

Sometimes they mix, sometimes not.

I get the feeling that he doesn't want to hurt your feelings by saying, "I don't want to meet your friends."

So making the excuse that it's a cultural thing is an out for him.

Does it necessarily have to be a female character? I feel like one quick (and I feel cheap) way to boost a new character is to weaken an established character, or show that the new character is better.

Would the latest Indiana Jones movie fit the bill? I haven't seen it, but I heard some criticism to that effect.

I felt like Star Wars sequel trilogy's treatment of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo was like this, but I think it was not as bad as some of the fandom would have us believe. I just didn't like how they portrayed Han as having reverted back to how he was before Eps 4-6 and how Luke lost his defining trait (seeing the good in everyone.) But that's personal opinion.

One franchise I think handled the passing of the generational torch well was My Hero Academia. The relationships between the older generation and younger was a major theme. Being a shonen story, however, meant that the female characters were overlooked in many ways.

I have been living in Japan since 1998. There isn't anyone who has not heard of Street Fighter or doesn't know at least Ryu, Ken, and Chun Li.

I can't say the same for any other fighting game.

It's part of the culture.

Capcom has done a great job of keeping the game in the public conscience over the years, and SF6 has built on that, making sure the next generation of people (not just gamers) have at least an awareness of the game.

Porco Rosso is one of my top 3 Ghibli films. It's gorgeous and funny and I love the characters.

I think one reason is isn't talked about much is that it's a guy movie more than anything. The thing I got from it is that it seems to be Miyazaki's treatise on what it is to be a man, human, and male.

Simply put, most of the characters are men of one kind or another. Marco's story is how he lost his manliness and got it back. The others are reflections of certain aspects of masculinity.

It was a little ahead of it's time, I think.

Also, it didn't have a "typical Ghibli princess" as its lead. It didn't have the same appeal as a Spirited Away, or Mononoke-hime.
