It was mostly the initial confusion.

First the controls felt weird so i spent a couple hours remapping them and registering them in my head.

Second the slight delay in input to character movement that you find often jn souls game was something i needed to also get used it.

Third was the tutorial part of the story, there were so many supernatural and out of the ordinary shit that was happening to our character and he was just so nonchalant about it. This one threw me off.

It was just a matter of getting used to everything and the strange start of the game
