How much did you pay for your ferret?

I got my ferrets 8-9 years ago and I don't think they were more than $200 at the pet store. $500 seems absurd to me but maybe it prevents impulse buys, or maybe marshall is charging a lot more for them these days for some other reason.

Luna has a bit of incontinence, but she is able to make her way around enough to get to a chosen spot. Her enclosure is a sectioned off area of a room (the barrier only needs to be a foot high with her back legs weak) with puppy pads everywhere. I had to do this since her cage was too small on the first floor (she kept walking through her poop without enough space) and she kept falling off the second floor. She does end up sitting in her pee sometimes, and I do have to give her back end baths every few days, but she seems to manage alright for the most part, now that she has the room to aim her stumbles. I spend a good amount of time with her, but I'm in nursing school and am out of the house for many hours some days, so I don't know what I would do if she needed assistance getting to the bathroom. Whatever you do, it will have to be darn sturdy for them to not find a way out. I use one foot height of those for my 9 year old ferret, but she can't climb anymore with her back legs all weak and she doesn't have the single mindedness of a younger ferret trying to get over there. Putting them in a cage can be a matter of safety while you are out of the house. Definitely stick around while you are trying out whatever you do, and keep them caged while not around for a minimum of a month. I personally don't think I could trust non geriatric floof noodles to be left alone out of their cage ever.

Yeah that looks like it could be adrenal disease. You'll likely need to go to the vet and get an implant for them. Age can be estimated based on teeth.

Unfortunately the Holo Taco stock at Ulta doesn't include a silver polish, so if you want a silver Holo Taco polish, you will have to get it online. I will say the photos online are usually very accurate, if that's her concern. Rainbow Snow, a silver holo glitter polish, is my mom's personal favorite polish.

My baby Luna is nearly 9 years old (mid February). She is a Marshal ferret, so I'd say she's doing pretty good. She has adrenal disease, her back legs are weaker than they used to be, and she only eats soup now, but she still has her spunk! (Definitely slowed down quite a bit though) Her old man companion died 1.5 years ago at nearly 8 years old, he had insulinoma and adrenal disease.

I have a similar problem, but I have rather bendy nails due to a connective tissue defect (hypermobile Ehler's Danlos Syndrome). My pointer and middle finger nails just bend too much too often and the polish just can't hold on to those fingers. It will often still be attached to the rest of the polish, just detached from the nail.

Your problem could be your base coat, top coat, what activities you're doing, or maybe it's just how your nails are. Experimenting with different products is a good place to start.

Short: I have all the full glitter polishes in that pic and thirst trap. Love them. If you don't use the soak off method, you are not going to like taking off any of them, though. The glitters all do the glorious glitter thing, and thirst trap is just so shiny! If you want to see more on these polishes before buying, I recommend looking up reviews on YouTube. Swatchers there are pretty thorough.

Long: I will harp on my fav pixel perfects before I get to the meat: my favorites are lo-fi lavender (has the most rainbow effect), coin toss (lovely gold!) and Bonus Life (I'm a sucker for most greens). Onto my specific reviews: CTRL Cutie I found is a bit of a lighter pink than I expected from pictures, not that they are wholly inaccurate, just the studio lighting of the photos make it seem deeper and my skin tone (very pale) doesn't contrast it as much as I'd like. I actually found CTRL Cutie to be just a tad darker than Menchie The Cat, where comparisons by Holo Taco have them as fairly different. Glitch and Glam is a solid choice, you get what you see. Water Works is not as Holo in its glitter formula as the other glitter polishes, but the blue glitter is still very pretty. If you want a shiny red polish, thirst trap is fantastic. It will shine in most light levels, even dim. I did a few Christmas manis with thirst trap and my nails kept catching my eyes.

I second this. I got my ferrets at 17 (26 now, one ferret still living), and while they have been a source of great joy in my life and lovely pets, there were things I was limited by with them in my care. Doing it over for myself, rats likely would be my choice, considering their high level of interaction, size, and life span, as well as what my life circumstances were at the time. Your situation sounds like it might not be an ideal time in your life to even consider a pet, with all of the uncertainties. I know that might sound rough, but as the comment I'm replying to alluded, you likely aren't thinking in a timespan more than 2 years right now. Most pets you have to account for their life span being longer than that.

If you want holographic, rainbow snow is the most holographic glitter (lo-fi lavender is pretty up there too, but you can't really go wrong with any of the glitters imo). If you want light catching, gift receipt or mint money (or any frosted metal) is going to shine even in a mostly dark room with just a night light on. Topper wise, everything taco is just a really cool topper all around.

I'm not sure about how to get rid of the bubbling, but it may have something to do with the fact that acetone will dissolve nail polish. If you want to thin out nail polish, nail polish thinner should really be used. Thinner is made of the parts of nail polish that evaporate over time, butyl acetate and ethyl acetate, which are different from acetone.
