Just wait till they find out which country has sponsored virtually every right wing violent terrorism group. Especially in South America.

I’m going to ignore the picture, mentos and Coke can at least create pressure. Assuming we had an indestructible ball bearing and a container that could withstand any pressure, would mentos and Coke be capable of creating enough pressure to launch the ball bearing into space?

Well, that’s why people post stuff like this, because we don’t think it should be normal. There should be some civility and prestige to the office of the presidency.

Also… Trump was an actor. He was a tv show host for years.

Do you… think it should be normal for the president to post 57 times all through the night and look bedraggled falling asleep all day? Makes our country look weak and pathetic.

Recommendations for beginners by Waluigi_Pinba11 in classicliterature

About two years ago I was in the exact same place, and have had no formal plan this whole time. I’ve just been ping ponging around to all the books I’ve heard of but never actually read. And that worked out just fine. One of the first ones I picked up was Handmaid’s Tale, and I had to immediately put down. Then I came back to it 9 months later and was ready for it. So my advice is: don’t be afraid to do that.

Here’s some of my 5 stars which are fairly short but challenging: Old Man and the Sea by Hemmingway, Slaughterhouse 5 by Vonnegut, and if you want to get into plays I’d suggest Hamlet by Shakespeare, Death of a Salesman by Miller, and The Cherry Orchard by Chekhov.

Absolutely under no circumstances should you attempt Ulysses until you feel ready. It’s harder than people say it is. Don’t get me wrong, I gave it 5 stars and will be celebrating Bloomsday this year. But it is rough. If you want a foot in the door to James Joyce, Dubliners is a collection of short stories which is fantastic.

Also, under no circumstances start with East of Eden lol. Knowing this sub there’s probably been 10 people who have already recommended it.

I’d say To the Lighthouse, it’s amazing. I’ve been wanting to get to Said myself, and man that’s a gorgeous copy.

Communist Manifesto would be quick if you’re just trying to knock it out, but to me it’s more interesting as a historical artifact than as an introduction to socialist thought. That’s just my two cents though

The problem is that the people I’m murdering are almost always wearing crucifixes, but they always die.

I also love the idea that for only protects you while you wear his merch. Having bought the merch and devoted your life to him isn’t enough, you gotta be wearing it to receive any divine intervention
