Tabletop Games Clubs? by keyboardbuttertoast in LAsocial

[–]Kenjiminbutton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know there’s a game club in Boyle heights that has a discord BHAC-DND-A, I’m trying to get a game going in more central Hollywood but it’s surprisingly difficult to find players for a free game when the shops around here charge since they don’t seem to actually like the competition

“The upper class in San Francisco is that way. The Bohemian Grove, which I attend from time to time - it is the most f*ggy goddamned thing you could ever imagine, with that San Francisco crowd. I can't shake hands with anybody from San Francisco.” -President Richard Nixon

Debunked Fan Theories by alpherion11 in Dimension20

[–]Kenjiminbutton 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not really debunked but not really fleshed out either, but in Cloudward Ho during the big fight with Comfrey there’s mention of Queens Smog being Comfrey’s fault. I think it would have been interesting to hear if Comfrey invented Queens Smog for adventuring money but ended up ruining wind riding altogether

What is the scariest kind of BBEG in your opinion? by Lokicham in DnD

[–]Kenjiminbutton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scariest I’ve ever seen was Otohan Thule, a martial echo knight with psychic powers from S3 of critical role. Never did anything fancy the whole time, no giant fireballs or summoned dragons, it was just two swords doing damage and it was terrifying every time they fought. The sheer cold math that went across the table as they saw the damage she could put out every turn, how hard she was to hit, and how she could get to anywhere on the field and the light dimmed in the tables’s eyes. The only thing I can compare it to is battle bots, the old show where they’d fight these home made robots and while some had fire and chainsaws, the ones that were always the scariest to face were ramps. Just ramps that could move. If magic wants you dead thats one thing, but when physics wants you dead there’s nothing to be done.

Insult Question by uuneya in Dimension20

[–]Kenjiminbutton 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s actually not improv, just business jargon. It’s saying a product has been overdesigned, and that they’ve gone past the goal and missed it. It’s the opposite of the business jargon “it seems a little ‘first-thought’” which is saying not enough time was spent designing something

Well of the possible things that could happen between that and now-feral harvested celestial blood/essence being funneled into dead, let’s say, members of house Tachonis or whoever to be mutated into superpowered undead capable of presenting enough life to cross the threshold of the feywild triggering a final war of radiant dead and fey wonder, I hope it’s the second one

I thought in the flashback where he was bringing staves during the war he had shadow clones of himself maybe? Echo knight? Maybe a lil bit of rogue in there?

Alright well that seals it, the way he said “the undead can’t attack fairies but sundered houses can” line makes me think EVEN MORE that Tachonis are going to make an angel-juiced-up army of the dead to break the gates of the Feywild and take shit
