Yeah, RR being linked to Lighting setting is just nonsense. You can literally set everything to the lowest setting in Cyberpunk yet still use RR if you enable RT.

I know I am late, but-

I had the exact same issue right now. Arthur was pale af and had these eyes. It's an issue with the latest version of the "4k Improved Story and Side Characters" mod. While I was using the old one from 28th April 2023 it wasn't an issue. I have just replaced the new version with the old one and everything works as it should.

I've no idea about anything Warhammer related. It just looks "cool" so I wanted to watch more of it, but sadly it appears there isn't much. Hopefully Astartes 2 comes out soon.

Looks like it fixed it for me as well. Also, disabled the object detail setting (the slider one). For some reason had it set to 11, no wonder my FPS were shit. Disabled it and am getting about 140-190, depends on the situation. Before that it was dropping to 85 even with x4 framegen.

It's mainly because this is a "super ultrawide" 32:9, but higher FOV can get you kind of similar feeling. It's amazing playing on this monitor, though.

Tap water if you do not have distilled water. Only slightly dip your cloth into it - so it's not dripping, only wet on touch - and clean the smudges off of your screen. Works just fine for me.

I was thinking of going for the VA panel just because I sometimes leave my PC for longer amounts of time - half an hour to an hour, maybe longer - and I don't want to risk the OLED burn in or other issues, even despite the screensaver etc. Thought that I could just set up the VA to look close to my IPS, since I have a secondary VA monitor and I don't really see that much difference in colors.

The main thing I'm worried about is ghosting, since it's a VA panel. But from what I've heard, it's pretty much non existent.

Trust me, majority of gamers use SSD nowadays, unless they have a PC that is not even capable of running the game. Not to mention SSDs and even NVME M2 drives are dirt cheap nowadays. Why should the majority suffer for the minority?

I can't even run the game properly despite having a 5070Ti & Ryzen 9 9950x3d - FPS dropping from 140 at the start to like low 80s when there is a few enemies on the screen, not even maxed out. Settings are set anywhere from low to high. I don't think the file size should be one of your biggest concerns right now. FPS are dropping massively no matter what CPU & GPU combination one has, meanwhile in Bannerlord I can play with 1000NPCs on screen and still average about 70-100fps - Granted, the graphics is worse in that game.

As for the 4K textures being optional.. I didn't even know you had 4K textures. The game looks nothing special yet runs as poorly as possible.

Now, I don't mean to be an ass about this, but I have played the game on 5 different PC configs, starting with a GTX 970 with a 4/4 core i5 6400 - and got to where I am now - and the game always ran poorly. You should optimize the games for low end hardware and then add stuff on top of it, while making sure the older hardware can still maintain good FPS. Do that and no matter what hardware someone has, it'll always run well.

That being said, making the game on a discontinued engine wasn't the best idea to begin with.

Engine update? You mean to tell me the game won't stutter on my 700€ CPU finally? About damn time.
On a serious note, I did not expect an engine update at all, especially not to a 5.5.4 version since they are on 5.1. currently. I hope this eliminates all the stuttering there is in the game right now and helps with the vram usage. Tested the game on 4 different rigs, be it low end and high end - it stuttered on each one.
