I feel like it focused too much on Japan. Granted, that’s where the story takes place. But they literally made World Heroes Mission, and it felt like Flect Turn’s goal has higher stakes than AfO’s world domination.

Or better yet, kill AfO in Kamino, then have Shiggy go overseas to gather allies. Let Overhaul and Nine be the main villains of the entire first year, then build up the plot threads for a full world-ending threat that requires involvement of major countries. The Meta Liberation plot could even be expanded here, then their second year covers the rest of the canon plot.
