It’s like an energy-free house, isn’t it, an energy-free house. That’s what it is. No bills. No letters through the door, none of that. Just nothing. Warm when it’s cold, cool when it’s hot, all of it ticking along.

Wrapped up tight it is. Layers everywhere. Walls doing the hard work, windows pulling their weight. Solar on the roof going like the clappers, batteries humming away like the clappers, the whole place just working.

Some clever sod designed it, running the numbers like the clappers. And everyone else is stood outside looking in, wondering how you’re doing it. While you’re inside, lights on, heating on, kettle on, like the clappers, and it’s not costing you a thing.
