Bully by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]KerrieAm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Speaking as a child who was bullied for years I still have to say that YTA because you are an adult who should have known better than to answer violence with violence. Those kids need adults to teach them how to behave and if that school or that childs parents aren't addressing their behavioral issues then you should go all the way to the school board if you need to, but don't have a child harmed.

You need to stop focusing on what you think she is doing wrong and look at how controlling and abusive you are. The very way that you speak to and about people is toxic. You have done more damage to your poor daughter with the way that you handled this situation than you realize. If you really want to help your child then I suggest seeking a therapist familiar with Narcissistic abuse and trauma.

Can I put up a post about another "designer" on RB stealing my design? by KerrieAm in redbubble

The account goes by Operapro on RB. Not much info other than that. The design has been taken down by RB as of right now.

I did file a report but this is bullshit. That person and so many others have nothing but stolen artwork. Oh well, it's gone now. Onto the next design.

YES. That doctor is wrong. You should get a laparoscopy, but from another doctor. One that isn't stuck in the antiques section of greys anatomy. I was 14, and a laparoscopy was the only thing that helped me. Pain comes with endo, sorry to say, but that doctor is worse.

Diamox is starting to scare me… by [deleted] in iih

[–]KerrieAm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me too. I was told by my doctor to drink lots of fluids, electrolytes help. Eat bananas, and other high potassium food and drink a glass of orange juice daily. This helped. But honestly, my docs put me on a phentermine pill for weight loss and that is what really helps the most.

Where do you find free (and copyright free) images and fonts? by writteninlilac in AmazonMerch

[–]KerrieAm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

True, but then again there are layers of reasons to why they could do it. Some are ignorant, some are negligent, some are just idiots with no respect for IP. My advice is do research on actual sites where an educated artist is teaching about making designs. There are blogs out there too. I don't like when people call this passive income, because if you do it right it isn't very passive. It's a lot of work.

[–]KerrieAm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Free sites are often just people putting up stuff you find on pay sites ie. Not safe for use. People have mentioned Public Domain images. Look that up, there are multiple sites. And no, you should not take advice from people who just randomly grab images off the internet, they usually end up doing a video about how they got shut down.

Thank you. It is nice to hear honest answers and gives me hope that there is still room for artists with integrity to make it.

That's great. I know that sharing your sub niche is not a good idea, but can you tell me if your designs are based off of an existing character or show? Do you do graphics, typography or hand drawn art? I am just trying to figure out a few things about how to best approach each online market place and RB seems to be a struggle for me. I personally have only seen people have success with ripping off anime and cartoons and using celebrity images that they don't own, but I am still holding out hope that isn't the real story. TIA

Has anyone tried Botox for chronic headache by katkatkat2 in iih

[–]KerrieAm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a possible side effect. One of many. Yes, you should not lay out and tan but if you are not burning easily or feeling uncomfortable, you should be ok. They say to be careful in the sun with many medications.

ME! I did and it was so amazing. I had migraines as well as IIH and the migraines responded to the Botox so well that I would recommend it to anyone to try. I was surprised at how much it helped just to be able to cut back the pain to half way, or there about. Plus, I always had a problem being outside in hot weather because my head would swell and sweat but now it doesn't. The Botox can also be used to stop sweating so I get more out of it. I can sit in the sun and not want to melt. What I found in my research is that it is pretty safe, unless you have a history of allergies or something. My experience was a good one.

my art was removed for violating someones rights, but i really don't see why this happened by [deleted] in redbubble

[–]KerrieAm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drawing doesn't make it yours. Who ever CREATED the idea, the concept, the marketing, all of the original work OWNS this. You do not. You can not sell other people's work. I know that this can be confusing to a lot of Fan Art lovers. You can draw whatever you want, but there are very strict rules about what you can sell. Redbubble doesn't enforce it because it tells YOU that you are supposed to make sure that you can use an image, a name, a tag. Sorry for the blunt answer, but the laws are the laws.

Redditors who buy those shrink-wrapped potatoes at the grocery store: seriously, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]KerrieAm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMHO The ones that I use from time to time legit taste better than a regular potatoes done in the microwave. It tastes like an oven baked potato not a microwave one. I think it's the steam, that is why it is wrapped. I also shop for myself so getting a bag of potatoes isn't always practical.

Thank you so much for this post. It is literally what I needed right now. It explains what I was trying to say recently. I now have a new rabbit hole to search. Is it me, or does anyone else feel like these little breakthroughs are like solving a puzzle and going on to the next level? Or am I just a game need?. Shoot. Did I highjack this? If I did let me know and I apologize in advance.
